Redskins Beat Vikings 36-26

The Redskins finally win a home game defeating the Vikings 38-26.  They finally broke the streak of 8 straight home losses.  Robert Griffin III came back strong after suffering a “mild” concussion in last weeks game.  Did he shy away from running, no he didn’t but he was much smarter sliding, throwing the ball away and, running out bounds.  By the way, he was the leading rusher today with 138 yards and two rushing touchdowns one of which was a 76 yarder.  Alfred Morris finished with 47 yards on 16 carries and they were tough yards going against that Viking defense.

The game started off pretty rough with the Redskins having a pretty poor 1st quarter but they turned it around in the 2nd quarter scoring 24 points.  The defense contributed to the final score with a pick six by Safety Madieu Williams.  That’s actually 4 this season already.  Hopefully, they keep that up.

Lorenzo Alexander needs to get more playing time on the defense.  He could be the piece the defense is missing because of Orakpo being out for the season.

The new kicker Kai Forbath was tested early in the game with his first attempt being a 50 yarder.  He nailed it and you could hear the crowd cheering after he hit it.

The Redskins are now 3-3 with a lot of football left to play.  Let’s hope they can build on this win.

Hail To The Redskins
