Another Power Play by Mike Shanahan

Here we go.

So Mike plans to sit down with Snyder at the end of the season to discuss returning to the team next season but only if he can run the organization the way he wants to run it.  He also wants to re-affirm that he can play the players he thinks give them the best chance of winning which is already in his contract.

My question is why does it have to be re-affirmed?  It’s already in your contact.  This is a power play by Mike Shanahan to back Snyder into a corner on who has the power.  If Shanahan gets his way he has it on public record that Snyder re-affirmed that he has full control over who coaches and which players play.  In case you haven’t figured it out yet, Shanahan would want an open QB competition if he were to return.  Forget about what he said in his presser about “we made a decision a long time ago that Robert Griffin III was our QB”.  That was just him being dishonest again.

This type of stuff will continue as long as Mike Shanahan is here.
