There’s News, Woohooo: Skins Trade for Erasmus James

Ahhh, some news from Redskins Park.  The Redskins have traded with the Minnesota Vikings for DE Erasmus James.  The Redskins traded a conditional 7th round pick in 2009 for the defensive end.  James played in 6 games last season for the Vikings.  He recorded 7 tackles (5 solo) and 1 sack.

Erasmus JamesIn 2006 he only played in 2 games with 2 tackles and no sacks.  In 2005 he played in 15 games that resulted with 29 tackles (24 solo) and 4 sacks.  The issue with James is staying on the field and not getting injured.  Only time will tell if the trade was valuable for the Redskins.  One thing that’s in their favor is that John Palermo, who is the Redskins current defensive line coach, coached James at Wisconsin.
