We Got A Win Baby

Kudos to the Washington Redskins for coming out and playing a good game against the Denver Broncos.  The Redskins scored the most points they have scored in about a year and half.  They won 27-17 at Fedex Field.

The Redskins gave up an early touchdown where the cornerback bit on a double move.  The secondary actually gave up several big plays biting on double moves from the receivers.  The Broncos did miss an opportunity in the first half to a wide open receiver  The boos started after that 1st touchdown the Redskins surrendered but the bounce back with a solid drive that ended with seven on the scoreboard.

The Redskins did have trouble pass protecting on longer drops by the quarterback, but this was probably the best run blocking effort put forth by the offensive line.

The Redskins looked like the Redskins of old in the 2nd half of the game.  They pounded the Broncos on the ground rushing for a total of 174 yards.  Betts, in for an injured Portis, ran for 114 yards on 26 carries.  Cartwright added 41 yards with 9 carries.

The passing game wasn’t all the great but it was effective.  Devin Thomas too a wide receiver screen play and turned it into a big gain with some good moves that Berman is sure to have fun with on ESPN tonight.

It was great leaving Fedex Field with a win today.  With the great weather we had today and win, Redskins fans couldn’t ask for much more.  Well, maybe we can.  BEAT DALLAS

We Want Dallas.  We Want Dallas.

Hail To The Redskins
