A Pathetic Display

That was pathetic, simply pathetic.  The Redskins were terrible in all phases of the game last night against their division rival New York Giants.  The defense allowed the Giants to score on it’s first 4 possessions with 3 TD’s and one field goal.  The defense gave up 2 more TD’s in the 2nd half.  The Giants racked up 387 total yards of offense with 114 rushing yards and 273 passing yards.  The defense was simply over-matched and pathetic.

The offense was pathetic as well.  They went 3-and-out on their first 3 possessions and only ran 6 plays in their fourth possession.  The had a total of 51 yards in the first half.  Just pathetic

Jason Campbell was beat up the entire game and came out of the game just before the end of the 1st half with was called a shoulder sprain.  He returned in the 2nd half to finish the game.  He threw two terrible INT’s and one was returned for a TD.  He is sporting shiner from the game as well.

Special teams.  What can I say.  Everyone has been talking about the dumbest play ever called by Jim Zorn.  The play was doomed from the beginning.  Instead of going for a field goal, Zorn decides to try some trickery.  The entire offensive line shifted to the left sideline while Gano and Hunter Smith stayed in the middle of the field.  The Giants quickly called a timeout.  The Redskins lined up for the field goal and again shifted the entire line.  You know what happened then.  It was pathetic.  It reminded me of something out of the movie The Replacements.

So much for the Redskins spoiling the fates of a couple of NFC East teams.  They were sucessfull in spoiling the evening for all of the fans that showed to witness that crap.  PATHETIC.
