sign either one now, preferably bratzke, before the draft. im pretty worried about the line and with one of them being signed id at least have the consolation of knowing that we have two solid defensive lineman. (Griffin and Bratzke and/or Eaton)

Portis=X, small request here, please don't write in all caps. It's painful to read.

Yeah, I'd sign 'em to low-bonus deals, so they're easy to cut should they prove to be pretty worthless after training camp.

I would please me if we signed Eaton after he was cut. He would be great next to Griffin.

Eaton is 32, and missed the entire year last year because of a knee injury and two surgeries. The Seahawks released him because he was going to cost $2.4 million against the cap this year.

At that price and with the knee injury, we might as well pray for Noble to be healthy. We don't have the cap space. Now if he wants to play for the vet minimum........

Time to hold mini-camp, see what you got, go to the draft and see what comes out and then make low ball offers to desperate veteran players who have no offers from other teams. Most of the free agent action is over until after the draft.

they don't make my toes tingle. I think we hold off and draft Udeze, W. Smith and a DT w/ 2nd round to sure it up.

uh, we don't have a 2nd round pick.....

Bratzke would the way i'd go. Of course if the money was right.

The mini-camp and draft will allow the FO to see where we stand on certain players. After that is over the staff will get together and decide on a few "why-are-we-keeping-this-guy?" type of players....

We need to preserve money to match FA offers on the players we want to retain.

The draft will set the direction for the rest of the off season and dictate the holes we need to fill. I doubt even the FO knows exactly what we will do on draft day, since a lot is dependant on what (if anything) other teams are willing to offer us for the #5 slot.

After the draft the FO will look at the gaps in our manning and consider players like these. Remember we have the visit of the "undrafteds" and the June 1 FA period. Some project players and short-term fill-ins will come from both groups.

They both would be good additions, but I think they are waitng until after June 2 cuts to see who is let go before they sign any more D-lineman. I read K.Holmes failed a physical the other day to bad I was hoping we could have landed him.

Agreed. The reason we have no good DE's is because we have not drafted one on over a decade. Either we start with this draft or do it next year. FA will only band-aide this problem - if at all.

how about or what id rather wait for the june 1st guys...id maybe hope we would look at bratzke but i dont think he is even much better than a guy like zellner....neither one of the chads is getting any younger.

I would still like to spend that money on Adalius Thomas. PLayed OLB for BAlt but is young and wieghs around 270 would be a good pas rushing DE, just my opinion but I believe he would be

Also Rodney Bailey would be alright also ad should not cost alot. He was a back up DE for Pitt. I am surprised he has not recieved much attention
