The good old days are back again. No more lack of discipline. No more cell phones going off during meetings. No more players showing up late for practices and meetings. I mean how did Spurrier expect his players to respect him and play hard for him we those things are going on. No matter what new players we get or what weakness we might have going into next year, one thing is for sure.....The players will go by Gibbs rules or will face reality...the bench.
There will be no more jumping offsides 3 times in a row...I mean come on....They should fear for their lives if that happens under Gibbs...But it won't happen
No more stupid penalties that cost us chances for a win. No more quarterbacks headbutting a wall or late hits.
Gibbs will bring more to this team than any draft pick. I am just glad we didn't have to give up 2 first round picks to get him like the Patriots did and the Bucs did.........But both teams got the coach they needs and won the big one.
Just something to think about.

Yeah, I agree. That's the thing about Gibbs. He believes in playing smart, error free, disciplined football. His teams don't (usually) do much to beat themselves.
Good to see you holdin' us down, over in Texas.

Lack of discipline has been one fo the downfallas with this franchise since Gibbs left. Turner instilled about as much as Spurrier did. The only real disciplinarian we had was Marty, but he is too extreme, but did have the Skins finish 8-3 in his last 11 games.
This team desparately needs leadership at the top, structure in the organization, and discipline throughout the field of play, that there is no doubt. Gibbs will restore that.

Another skins fan here in Houston.
I agree Discipline is what has been missing these last few years.
We have had as much talent if not more as any team in the league we just need someone to organize it and bring it to the field.
Now we have it so watch out NFL we're back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gibbs isn't a disciplinarian in the same vein that Marty was.
Marty was just harsh all the time.
Gibbs though, is a natural people person. He knows how to get the best out of each player.
Gibbs knew when to kick ass and he knew when to show some love.
I don't think anyone ever loved Marty so much as they respected him for winning.
Gibbs on the other hand, I haven't heard one negative word said about him by anyone who ever played for him.

Joe Gibbs spoke at my high school in about 1990, and that is what surprised me...The media portrays him as this workaholic nerd, but in fact he has a hell of a personality...Very funny guy, very likable...It says something when a slew of your old players turn out for your comeback press conference.

Discipline styles
Quintus Arrius from Ben-Hur: "Now listen to me, all of you: You are all condemned men. We keep you alive to serve this ship. So row well, and live."
The Tuna: "!)#&%)!)!@#)*&%!)*)!@#%)*$^(&%&)(%)*@!!!!"
JJ Gibbs: "have a seat"

I agree with the lack of Disipline being apart of our down fall, but is that not the coach's responseability? Why hell yeah. Other than Marty Schottenhiemer ( He was what the team needed and where stupid enough to let go) we have had sorry coach's since 94. We have a HOF coach back in charge again and it feels so good to have my prayers finally answered.
