im looking forward to november just like im looking forward to the first week of september. im tired of bush. he is ignorant and arrogant. making light of the weapons of mass destruction was uncalled for and im sure the friends and families of all the soldiers who have died in iraq didnt think he was funny either.

john kerry for president!

Well, you certainly won't offend me with comments like that, Lady. In fact, where the hell have you been all this time? We could have used you in here! :D Welcome.

Yeah I try to avoid political arguments despite being drawn into them because well....people feel strongly about their beliefs and can't believe when someone else has different beliefs and they feel they must change them.

It's almost like relgion really.

It’s only “religious,” if people personalize the political; any sort of dialogue with these types is impossible as they take any intellectual or political differences as personal affronts. Extreme leftists behave much like religious fundamentalists in most intents and proposes. As a grizzled veteran of the most liberal and leftist school in America, take my word when I say that the radical left is much more interested in "conversions" than the radical right, making them, in my opinion, vastly more annoying. Zealous ideologues on either side in my experience are mostly, yo9 be concise, intellectually lazy people, though that fact seems irrelevant: the loudest voices may be the stupidest, but are nonetheless the most popular and influential. Go figure.

I would disagree and say that extremists on all sides are annoying as hell.

I hate hearing hippocrates like Bill O' Reilly or Rush Limbaugh on the airwaves. Can't say I've heard any flaming liberals on the radio/tv.

Of course VT with our large ROTC population and middle class population isn't exactly a hotbed of liberal thought, so I haven't really been exposed to the extreme left.

You want extreme left? Come out to Boulder Colorado. Around here what most would consider a liberal is regarded as a staunch conservative. Any conservative beliefs and you automatically become a fascist.

MAN, I LOVE AMERICA!

You know they kill people in other countries that have conversations like this...
