161 points in a season, 20 consecutive field goals when it really meant something. Straight on kicker. Winning field goal in the snow against the Giants.
I could go on and on...

I'm a little suprised the Chipper did as well as he did, though his autograph hangs proudly in my memorabila room. Knight had a solid career, but was mainly memorable for kicking seven field goals (3 against the Pack, 4 against the Pokes) in the '72 playoffs. In terms of longevity, numbers, and eveything else (heck he was league MVP in '82!) no one even really comes close to Mosely. Sammy Baugh for best punter!

Moseley had his problems too. He made the 1983 title game against the Niners alot closer than it had to be. Missed 3 FG's if I remember correctly. Instead of coasting, we had to sweat it out. Should have been 30 to 21 instead of 24-21.
I went with Lohmiller.

Went with Moseley. I remember the 83 championship game against 49ers.Had to listen to game on the Armed forces radio station out of germany. Was living in Londen England at the time. The reception was so bad that we could hear the announcer for about a few seconds at a time. We could not pick the game up until the start of the 4th quarter. We all believed the redskins where losing 21-0. When the 49ers where actually scoring we believed redskins where coming back. I remember hearing moseleys name several times trying a kick and we would lose reception and would not hear if he made it or not.Until later we would catch part of the score 21-7, 21-14,then 21-21. Us skins fans thought we where making another miracle come back. We knew Moseley had come out twice in the quarter and assumed correctly he had missed. When we heard he was coming out for another kick I thought we where doomed. The one thing none of us had realized at the time. We never heard the fans cheering, we just thought it was the bad reception. We did not hear the announcer say if he had made it or not, but we caught the cheering of the fans at RFK when he made it.It sent chills threw me.We didnt need to hear him we knew. At the time I was disappointed in the radio and the reception we had ,unknowingly cheering on the 49ers. A few days later we got a copy of the stars and stripes paper and read about the game. We all got a good laugh out of it . I remember thinking we had to have looked like a bunch of dumb asses with out a clue to what was really going on. 2 weeks later thank god they showed the Superbowl live on the local tv station over there. Well I dont need to tell how I felt about that game. Now I look can look back on the championship game and just smile.

Besides his overall career record--saw him kick a 50 yarder to beat Dallas in 79.

#3 Mark Moseley hands down!
"Mark Moseley has enjoyed a brilliant football career. In 1982, he was voted the National Football League’s Most Valuable Player – the first time in the NFL’s 75-year history that a kicker has ever been nominated or elected to such a prestigious position. The holder of numerous NFL kicking records, he has recently become eligible for induction into the Hall of Fame. "

Mosely was league MVP after the 1982 season. How many other kickers (who only kicked) did that? 'Nuff said.

Kinda lost in the fog of seasons past, but will always remember Chips 3 giant fgs in that one game at Dallas! Were all three over 55 yards? (don't answer that! Let me keep my memories whether they are based on fact or not!) But with the game on the line Mark gets the vote! Not sure if this is fact based either but the only time I remember Mark missing (with the game on the line) was that CRAZY 59-57??? game at GreenBay. Oh wasn't there a game we lost to Dallas 14-0, and Mark missed 5 fgs?.......Still Mark!!!!
