but i want wilfork too. the bears have the 14th pick, and they would have to give up too much to put themselves in a position to get wilfork. people have said that his weight is a concern, but he has kept his weight to around 325, and said that he wants to live a healthier lifestyle because he recently got married and has a daughter. i think we can trade down with houston, get the 10th pick plus a 2nd rounder, and then we can draft wilfork.

I would be okay with Wilfork, but I've already sent Redskins One to USC to pick up Udeze to bring him to Ashburn. ;)

udeze is better than winslow/taylor cause of team need, but i think DT is more important than DE. send Redskins One to 711 and get me a slurpy.

I'd be happy with any of the top defensive linemen, but right now Udeze is my favorite. I could live with Wilfork, though, especially if we got a second round draft pick in addition to him.

Udeze drank yours. Take it up with him.

I've got to believe that Wilfork is got his head screwed on tight now that he's got family respondsibilities (at least we would hope so). He's going to be under a professional NFL trainer and can only benifit in the long run. If he stick to it and does what he's told, this kid will be a Sapp "TYPE" player or even better. I'd take a chance on him.

not just in the long term, but i think he can benefit now and help us now. as much as it would help to have a veteran clogging lanes, a massive rookie can do the same.

I have said a similat thing, Give me either Miami player Wilfork or Taylor and I will be happy, I think a lot depends on two things

1. Do we get anything in a trade for Rod Gardner that could be used for d-line help.

2. Does Taylor wow Gibbs in his interview next week.

I agree get wilfork, but trade down to 9 or 10th spot. then we can get a 2nd rounder to use on getting a quality DE. Imagine Griffin and Wilfork next to each other are beasts. They would stuff that line up plus pressure the QB. Plus when Noble's healthy and Haley gets under Williams' system we will have very good backups. DE I want Smith or Udeze, but I doubt they will still be there if we get a 2nd rounder. So we pick up the best available DE in the 2nd round.

Wilfolk is a good football player but a better person... He lost both parents and needs a guy like Gibbs to be a father figure.

Eh .. if we go d-line Harris or Udeze would be better options than Wilfork. It's really not much of a stretch to say he'll be there at 14 for the Bears.

I would rather have Randy Starks clogging up the middle. But Wilfork would be solid.

My D-line prospects look like this. I'm thinking who is going to be biggest impact in a year or two.

1. Starks
2. Udeze
3. Harris
4. Wilfork
5. Smith

I'd rather have Udeze. I'd rather have Starks. I'd rather have Harris. I'm rather have Smith.

For the love of God, let's not get yet another run-stuffer.

good point RB. i think having a family, and wanting to provide could be huge factors for him. not to mention you dont need domination safeties to win a super bowl.

Trade down to #10 spot and pick up Houston's 2nd rounder. Pick up Wilfork and Ben Watson or Troupe to replace our overweight TE (chamberlon). Houstons would kill for Sean Taylor and Wilfork is a beast (36 reps of 225, thats like the 2nd most at the combine! ). I think Udeze might be out of the question....They are just now sceduling a visit with him!!!

looks like they want 3 run stuffers up front and 4 line backers giving the pressure. We can slap wilfork right in the middle!!!

Bears want Wilfork to open things up for their playmaker on D. We should take Taylor to help out the Playmaking abilities of our D.
