Well time to cut through the crap. What ya got? Yeah I know it's too early, but seeing all these offseason pick ups, are we all still to scared to lay something on the line? Yeah it's meaningless, but I'm sick of the "We'll be lucky to get 7 wins " mentality that I see around here from time to time.

I haven't been around here in a while. My 2 Cents: With all the bad luck in the past few years, I think we might be jinxed. Something just won't let us play, mark my words. :smash:

10 or 11 sounds right.

Division champs.

But 11-12 wins might be enough to win the East this year, everyone is going to beat down on one another, ala the late 80's early 90's.

This will be the year where we see how effective good coaching is. I can't wait.

Interesting to me that most of the votes have gone for 10 - 11 wins, which is what I voted for. However, in another thread, everyone said they thought no more than 8 - 9 wins. Did everyone change their mind, or am I just an early voter?

I don't think we have enough choices. 8-9 wins is my guess as of right now, but I think all prognosticating should be held for right after pre-season and before the opening weekend.

I'm not making a prediction. Every year Redskins fans get over excited and pumped up over the offseason only to be tremendously disappointed. This year I'm indifferent and I will wait until I see the team play.

What other choices do we need right here? And if you feel you shouldn't prognosticate quite yet, just vote for the no prediction slot.

I went with 12+ wins. Gibbs might be a little rusty so I went conservative for this season only. Next year SuperBowl Champs.

Said 8-8 earlier and I'm sticking to it.

I would not depend on our preseason record. Spurriers first year we went 4 and 0 or 1 i believe and our season had only 3 more wins than that.

i voted division champs based on this: split with philly. kearse will get hurt, if not, run at him. they lost their starting guard and running back. split with dallas. great defense wins them the 2nd one, after film study, no QB and no running back loses them the first one. beat giants twice. we got their starting tackle. old gap tooth is, well, old, and he doesnt have griffin to at least command some attention. but we still have to win a bunch of other games. we should have a better schedule than dallas or philly, same as giants, but they are not that good and have a new coach too.

I voted for 8-9.

right now I am thinking 10-11 wins, but it remains unofficial untill a week before the season. We lost a lot of close games last year under stupid coaches. We have a better staff (under statement of the year ) and we have better players already, we still have a high draft pick. We are much better than 5 wins

I voted 10-11 we had a few close games last season, this season we have a more discplined coach and team, as well as upgraded talent.

Plus last seaon was one of the league toughest schedules.
We have the potential to be highly competitive in the NFC East.

I voted 8-9. I think a lot depends on what we do with the front 7 on defense between now and the start of the season. The Skins have had a weak DL for some time now, and I think we still do, even with Griffin/Daniels.

I'm not sold on our offensive line yet to go with 10-11 but I hope I'm wrong.

How many of these polls are there???????

FA acquisitions are not completed ...... Draft day still to come ........ Trade rumors still flying around ....... June 1 release day ......... Training camp ........ unforseen injuries .......

At this point, way too many unknowns but we are in the same boat as half the other teams in the NFC.

We'll win somewhere between 1 - and 16 games !!!!! That I WILL bet on !!!!!

I chose 12 wins. Thats right. Under Buges the O-line will improve drasticly. Having Portis in the backfield will be all to nice. Having Coles line up with either Gardner or D-Mac is gonna be sweet, (don't forget about Jacobs, boy is makin some noise). The D will make a believer out of all of us again. Thats my word and im stickin by it! :Peace:

to answer the question, yes we are going to the playoffs, and anything can happen once you get there.

10-6 If Parcells can do it with those low life bums in Dallas..
Gibbs can do it with the Skins...matter of fact now that I think about it
11-5 & Division Title

9 or 10 wins due to coaching this season. It will take awhile for all these new guys to work together well. Offense will definetly do better than the defense.

We are a season away from a chance at the top. Just a few impact players on defense (line) through FA or the draft and 2005 will be our year.

It's all in the coaching, baby....................

Hail!

i think we will win the division. our coaches have plenty of film to study on the eagles and dallas. the giants have a new coach. when those guys start to prepare for us, they cant watch film of spurrier, or marty, or norv, they have to go all the way back 12 years to gibbs. the hback will be new to everyone except parcells. on any given play, is the hback going to pass protect, run block, or catch the ball? and on defense, they will have to watch a combination of the bills and titans (for williams) and chicago (for blache). hopefully no one will have a "blueprint" of how to beat us for a while.

I would not depend on our preseason record. Spurriers first year we went 4 and 0 or 1 i believe and our season had only 3 more wins than that.

plus, in one of our superbowl season, we lost every preseason game if i remember correctly...

i think 9 or 10 wins(i picked the 10/11 option) is realistic and a playoff birth

go skins!!!! 19-0 all the way!

16 games in a whole year just seems so little! baseball has 162! each football game is worth 10 baseball games. bball and hockey has 82.. thats 5 of those games to equate 1 football game. this is why football is the best game.. and thats also why we need a workaholic like gibbs instead of the jolly-be-good spudier. i do see in the next 10 years or so when the nfl will expand to 18 games and shorten the preseason.. only after expanding the playoffs.

I think 10 or 11 is possible, tough but possible.
