How will this affect the Giant offense? Looks like Coughlin really does not care for kerry Collins much.

IMHO, the "Gints" are too cheap to go after Manning and/or Rothliesberger . . .
They have played in the middle $$$ of the FA market and have not really signed big impact and big $$$ players. I think they trade down instead of up !!!!

I think that they are simply planning for the future. Collins will probably be done with them in a year or two.
I will laugh if this turns out to be another Chargers mistake from trading down from the #1 pick. Tomlinson is a stud, no doubt, but that team desperately needs a QB.

And who is the HC of the San Diego Chargers and the GM ? ? ?
(rhetorical, by all means ! ) :D

I thought Gallery had Tom Coughlin written all over him.
Remember Coughlin's first pick in Jacksonville, Toni Boselli?
That pick wasn't too bad for the Jags? They may be posturing with Manning.
That being said, how would you like to be the team that had to defend itself for passing up on a Manning when the chance was there?

And they are also the same team that has to defend itself for passing up Michael Vick :smash: :bangdesk:

The Chargers are turning into a joke. San Diego should be banned from having sports teams for a couple decades.

I've heard the Chargers like Ben Roth. over Manning anway and by trading w/ the Gints they'll probably still get him.
Only time will tell who the better QB is ... and if they pick wrong their fans will never forgive them.

I think it would be funny if the Chargers do trade with the Giants so they could get Roth. at the #4 pick. Only for the Raiders to surprise everyone and draft him with their pick....

Doesn't whoever the Qb is need at least one decent receiver to throw to ?

I agree. David Boston was one of Marty's worst moves ever. This team needs a go to receiver desparately, and really can't afford to pass up on Fitzgerald or Williams. If they take Manning, who will he throw the ball to? Tomlinson?

Repeatedly! LT's a horse of horses, but I'm not sure he can handle 40 touches per game. Bust-on was not the answer and nor was conway or Dwight.

Marty needs to win this year. He cannot afford to start over and draft a QB with the first pick. Odds are, even if it is Manning, that much of the first year will be a learning period. Marty would be preparing Manning for his next head coach.

I'm just amazed that more mock drafts don't see the same thing. The Chargers will make the deal if with the Gints if they feel that they can still get a quality Receiver at #4. I think the Giants would like to trade up but won't be able to pull the trigger. Not enough fortitude. The trade will go to the Cards if it is going to be made.

sorry but I think as of right now Tomlinson is a better player than Vick. I do not see Vick doing anything great. I know a lot of people here love Vick but I am not one of them. I might very well be proven wrong but time will tell

I happen to agree with you. I am not all that hyped up Vick or McNabb or any of the "new breed" of Qb's thus far...........I will take a pocket passer who can scramble when needed..........;)

I don't think Vick would have liked it in San Diego anyhow.
