I said No just because I can't really recall him returning punts. Let the two of them duke it out in training camp and preseason for that oppurtunity. It feels good to have two guys back there that we can rely on though.

Let them batle out in camp and whoever is best does it. The Gibbs way

Thrash won't be as effective as Morton, I mean that's why we stole 'em from the Jets to begin with. If Thrash does beat out Morton for the job though, what do we need Chad for? Trade 'em away.

Thrash isn't quick enough to take away the punt returns from Chad Morton .. and these 2 will be lining up next to each other on kickoff returns which should be exciting.

No need for Morton in the backfield anymore (regardless of what he wants). Leave him on special teams to do what he does best!!!

Voted yes but it is an error... It's chad 's job

I'd like to see a training camp battle for the return jobs.

Morton can break tackles which is critical for a return guy. I think he'll bounce back large this year now that he has a coach that focuses 33% of his time on teams!

I didn't vote. To me, whoever wins the competition for the job should do it.

Thrash didn't do a good job returning any for Philly-and until he proves that he can, I feel it's Morton's job.

Morton is among the best in the league. Thrash will be better than Bailey or P. Johnson was last year as a backup.

Whoever wins the job....period. In defense of Morton, you have to remember that special teams wasn't one of Spurrier's obsessions. From my memory we really didn't have good blocking or coverage at all last year.

First off, welcome to hR JOISBK, glad you joined us here.
To the question. I voted no, I'd rather have someone with speed back there and Morton has more speed than Thrash IMO.

Morton just seems to be better suited for returning punts in my mind.

No I don't think so, that's what we are paying Chad Morton to do, but it's always good to have options for kickoff and punt returns.

One word to describe Morton...............................illusive!

I like the way that Morton does a lot of film study on each opponent. I read he breaks down the opponents tendancies and blocking schemes and gives them out to the special teams unit. This year with Gibbs big on special teams, I think you will see that work pay off.

I voted morton because he is getting paid to do it , not saying Thrash should not be back to return kicks with Morton but not punts.

No, it is Mortons job. But then again I don't see anything for Thrash to do.

I feel that Morton is more of a natural at KR... focusing more of his attention at KR many yeild more yardage int that department
Also... I think Thrash has better hands

Voted no. Morten is a better return man. Thrash is a good special teams player and am glad we got him back.

Welcome JOISBK! Glad you found us ! :welcome:
I say on paper it looks like Morton. But as Spence said, we need a good battle in TC to see who fits the role and does the best job !
