One thing to remember about Gibbs football- every position is open every year. There is no permastarter. There will be guys who are consistantly more focused and they start year in and year out. This is a big reason why Gibbs teams do well. So....with Barrow now on his way in and the other free agents, draft picks and undrafted free agents are following soon.....who is going to be the starters?

T: Samuels, Jansen
G: Dockery, Tomas
C: Raymer
QB: Ramsey*
RB: Portis
H: Sellars
TE: Koz and Rasby
WR:Coles, Jacobs, McCants

* Brunell will start the season #1 but get hurt this year and Ramsey will not look back. Gibbs will not have a QB contraversy next year

DE: Wyn, Daniels
DT: Noble, Griffen
MLB Mitch/barrow (will split time)
OLB LaVar, Washington
S: Taylor, Iffy
CB: Smoot, Springs, Harris (nickel)

KR: Mort
PR: Thrash

K/P they are the only ones I think ARE writen in stone

When you look at it like that some things jump out.

1- Our O-line will bulldoze
2- our dline aint that bad
3- Who exactly will match up w/ those recievers???
4- We have actually started to aquire depth across the board.

tell me what you think:)
Cheers!!

i think gardner will be our #2 reciever this year...he will have a solid year...i think that people can match up with mccants and jacobs...they havent even had a shot at #2 corners. i think where they cause matchup problems is when they are playing the nickel corners.

Unless we draft a pass rusher, then Upshaw will start at RDE with Daniels at LDE with Wynn moving down to see considerable time at DT, hopefully as a one gapper. He will get steamrolled as a two gapper.

If he doesn't get traded, otherwise yes, I agree, he will hold onto the #2 spot.

I also think Friedman will prevail at center.

i just realized something, our Oline would benefit if it practiced against a real top notch Dline no? I really wonder what practice looks like when they meet up.

Well, under SS it was a club med, so practices probably weren't too intense. But I have a feeling that under Gibbs, if the D line isn't improved, the offensive line will manhandle our d line in practice.
