Hello fellow Redskins fans! I am SuperSkin, defender of all that is burgundy and gold. I am a season ticket holder and can be seen at FedEx Field every Sunday in my SuperSkin armor (see avatar). I became "SuperSkin" in 1997, and my mission has been the same ever since - to prevent the infiltration of opposing fans into our great stadium and make FedEx Field the reincarnation of RFK. I truly believe that we still have the greatest 12th man in the NFL - we just needed that special spark, and now we have found it in the return of the messiah, Joe Gibbs. I look forward to reading and contributing posts throughout the season. For those of you that are season ticket holders, say hi if you see me in the stadium. I will be at the draft day party at the stadium tomorrow, and I am SO excited to welcome Gibbs back to D.C. And remember, if you attend a game this year, GET LOUD! THIS IS THE YEAR WE RETURN THE TEAM (AND THE 12TH MAN) TO NATIONAL PROMINENCE!

SuperSkin you were kind enough to pose for pictures with 3 hot, sweaty, little boys while I took your picture last year at FAD. I could see that you were hot and tired (I'm the Mom around here, I notice things) but you gave them high fives and made them feel like they had just met a comic book Super Hero!

Thanks for the kind words of welcome - I appreciate it. It's funny, when I first became SuperSkin, I never thought about the impact it would have on the kids. I think back to when I was eight years old, and my older brother told me one day, "You should watch football and like the Redskins. They're a good team." I didnt know any better and said, "Okay." The rest is history. How lucky was I that my brother said that to me? Thats one of the things that I like to do for the kids - get them excited about the 'Skins and look forward to Sundays just like us "grown-ups" do. I get downright giddy when I see a 4 year old in a Ramsey jersey coming up to me to shake my hand. It's great! Actually, to correct what I said earlier, I dont think I ever "became" SuperSkin - I was born SuperSkin. Just as Superman was wrapped in the blue and red "S" blanket as a baby, I was born on October 14, 1973, just hours before Ken Houston would stop the Cowboy's Walt Garrison on the 1-yard line to preserve a 14-7 victory at RFK on Monday Night Football. I hope to see all of you at the games this year, and here at HR. Thanks again.
