These are some of my predictions for the stats of certain players. I was wondering what other people believed would be the production of some skins.
LaVar Arrington Tk 138 Sk 10 Int 3
Sean Taylor Tk 87 Sk 3 Int 5
Clinton Portis Yd 1675 TD 16
Lavernius Coles Rc 100 Yd 1100 TD 8

I think Portis will have closer to 20-24 TD's.
I don't think any receiver under Joe Gibbs will have 100 receptions. Not only do we like to run the ball, but Gibbs likes to spread the wealth a bit. We're going to have the deepest receiving core in the NFL, so I'd expect D-Mac and Gardner to take a lot of catches. Also, we'll be throwing to Portis and Cooley quite a bit.
That seems like a LOT of tackles for LaVar... but LaVar is a crazy man. He might just be in on EVERY tackle this year!!

I don't care about the stats (especially the high reaching goals set here), I just want a season with more than 8 wins!

Lavernius Coles Rc 100 Yd 1100 TD 8If Coles averages only 11 yards per catch then the Redskins are not using him correctly.

225 yards a game,2 tds and about an int a game will get him those stats. Not that hard.

First of all everyone said that Brunell would not make it through the season...Now all of a sudden he's finishing the season? No one made any stats for ramsey. If anything, we should say that the skins will have 3600 yards in passing and maybe as a team, 1400 total yards rushing. That seems more realistic..
I love Portis but he will not get 1600 plus yards in the east..NO WAY!!!..remember philly..good D. Dallas number 1 defense in the league
c-mon guys be realistic.
Remember 1600 in the AFC means 1200 in the NFC.

So Portis is only gonna get 70 sum yards a game??? no fu*kin way....he will get 95yards a game which will get him around 1500 yards.....period.

Guys listen, I have to put things into perspective here...How can you possibly believe that Portis will rush for 1600-1700 yards...First of all I do believe that Portis is a great running back. I would be happy if the Redkin running game can put up 1400 yards..that shows ball control. I don't care who does it! But don't set your limits so high on him.Remember New system, new team, new line. When you begin to set limits that high with someone who has never ran that often against Dallas, Philly and NY, you set yourself up because then when it doesn't happen all of a sudden, "Lets get rid of Portis!!!"
Also you Bailey fans, take into account the AFC passes much more than the NFC and plays softer defenses, So Champ might not turn into that shut down corner you all say he is...He'll probalby turn and regain the name I gave him last year "Apple Butter".
Lets just wait and see what he does and be happy as long as they move the chains and score points....I'm sorry for being so realistic but we don;t know anything yet....and to set your expectations outside of reality, it can bring you to DISAPOINTMENT. Then the next thing we'll hear is "IS PORTIS WORTH WHAT WE GAVE UP FOR HIM? All because he didn't rush for 1700 yards.
Also, on the Brunell situation, if he wins the starting spot, lets just hope he doesn't get hurt as opposed to him passing for 3600 + yards...i would be happy if he didn't give any games up (not saying he will).
Remember as we are looking to get better, other teams are as well..You guys haven't forgotten, the east will turn into the beast...and soon no one will be able run on the east.
Don't get me wrong I am just as excited about the changes we have made as the next guy or gal...but The reason why I chose the name JOETHEFAN, originally taken, from a well respected icon in and person who I really respect as a human being and leader in John Thomspon, is his candicy on certain subjects. Please I had to post this because the last 10-12 years have been hell and I have to see growth on the field before I believe that Portis can run for 1700!!!LOL. I trully think Joe of all people should be able to get it done, but I'm still concerned about our expectations of him and the team. I have never heard him set high excpectations and if we are following the leader what does that say about us. Are we dedicated to JOE'S Cause or What?.......out

Many receivers have had great years under Gibbs. With teams forced to respect the run, Coles should have AT LEAST 90 receptions.
Lavar 8 sacks, 120 tackles, 2 int
Taylor 81 tackles 2 sacks, 6 int
Washington, 105 tackles, 6 sacks, 1 int
Griffen 60 tackles, 5 sacks
Smoot 4 int
springs 4int
Coles 93 receptions 1302 yds 8 TDs
Portis 1620 YDS 36 receptions 22 TDs
I'm most curious about what kind of stats Cooley and Jacobs will have.

If Coles averages only 11 yards per catch then the Redskins are not using him correctly.
In reality in should be double that if we are to be successful.
Cooley or Sellers should have the 11 yard average.

I think all the projections look great...except the INT's going to Arrington...he only has 3 for his career and will be a pass rusher on most 3rd downs...just nit-picking a little...

The Redskins running game (as a team) had 1648 yards LAST season, 1888 the year before, according to ESPN . . . Portis should get his 1350 - 1500 assuming he stays healthy.
Link: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/teamstats?team=was
Coles should get his 1000 - 1200 yds with 8 - 10 TD's
Lavar will have 11 - 13 sacks and arround 140 tackles
Barrow will have 2 - 4 sacks and arround 110 tackles
Washington will have 1 - 4 sacks and arround 95 tackles
Sleeper - Upshaw will have 11 sacks
Daniels - 7 sacks
Smoot 5 ints
Springs 4 ints
Taylor 7 ints 4 sacks

I know my numbers seemed kinda big but the fact is they were not. Yeah brunell throwin for all those yards seems like a lot but if you are a qb that cant throw 200 yards a game and if you are a rb that cant run for 80 yards a game then you suck. A below average rb should run for 1000 yards in a season. PEOPLE 1000 IS NOT A LOT ITS ONLY 60 SUM YARDS A GAME. Portis will in fact get to 1500+ yards this season if he stays healthy.....i bet my life on it.
