2004 Fantasy First Look...(do not move)

I was in the store and i noticed the first fantasy mag of the year so i looked all threw it. They had some good rankings like rbs with Portis 5th but on D they are complete morons.....they had the best overall d player Brian Russell the S from the vikings.....they had Ify the 6th best db and Bowen the 8th best db.....Arrington was the 38th best lb and even derrick brooks was in the 40s.....i couldnt believe what i was seeing. They had bragg the small white fat dt on the ravens ranked as the 4th best d lineman....that says it all.

You have to wonder about all their rankings then if that's what they are projecting. Plus that's the problem with Fantasy mags - they change so often during the preseason w/ injuries and cuts that you really need a more up to date list.

Good sign that the first mag is out so soon ... the season is right around the corner!!!

What you have to understand about Fantasy IDP rankings (Individual Defensive Players) is that typically, the worst players score the most fantasy points. D Back with bad D lines in front of them make alot of tackles. Similarly, your elite CB's don't get much work, because teams don't throw at them as often.
Finally, the mag probably went to production before the NFL draft, so they had Iffy and Bowen as our starters. Considering how we have largley ingorned the D-Line and based on last year's performance, I'd say those rankings for Bowen and Iffy are failry accurate. I also think that our D line will be better than projected and that one of those 2 guys will not start because of Sean Taylor.
