happy bday fellas!

P.S. i noticed most of the recent bday ppl are not regular posters if they post at all... i never even heard of these guys. is there a time limit to when a name gets pulled for inactivity? sounds like most of these guys just joined for a day and have wandered off to another board or some island. :)

For the record, we have some people who register, and then rarely, if ever post. They chose to register, and they choose not to actively post - and thats fine. I hope you agree that its a great site to just get info! I would feel remiss if I missed a birthday - which I'm sure I have on more than one occcasion - and then have one of our members feel slighted.
If a member sees our wishes and doesn't respond - so be it.

One of the admins may addres your question about a user geting pulled for inactivity.

Yes Vision, we realilze that we are wishing Happy Birthday to some members who haven't even posted. We've witnessed users registering then waiting awhile before they became active.

Dont' worry RV if I don't recognize a name I always look them up in the member list. If they haven't ever posted I just give 'em a generic Happy Birthday, if they're a regular poster they get something more personal.

It used to bother me too, that we were wishing HB to people that seemed to not be here (I even said so once or twice).

But NamVet4 is so good about keeping up with the birthday's, that I realized he could be bringing someone into the fold here with his well wishes, someone who was maybe just a lurker, and who maybe could be a great contribution to our forum if they felt welcomed.

...anyway....it's OK what you said!
