We all know what we're about on this site, but I was just looking out my office window at the elementary school playground across the street and there's this little girl playing with some other kids...and she's wearing a Ramsey jersey! That just got me thinking that I've noticed a lot more jerseys, bumper stickers, hats, etc., on people all over the place. I got called out by a store clerk at Costco because he saw my hat one week...yelled at me across the floor, "Go skins!". Another guy a month later sees my skins ticket holder card in my wallet while I'm trying to pay and starts a frenzied conversation about how he got the dream seats and how pumped he is....
So my question to the group is...is the collective fan base here coming to life? Are we seeing a resurgence of team spirit and pride? I don't recall it being quite like this in recent years. Are you guys seeing this stuff too?

Thats the power of Gibbs my man. My dad, who couldnt care less about football after Gibbs left, said he's gonna watch everygame this year and get some Redskins stuff. Im guessing a lot of old fans will re-find their love for the Redskins.

Lexington is never decorated with anything but blue, so I'd have to say no as the Kentucky delegate.

unfortunately, i am in eagles territory, but i definitely see a sense of enthusiasm that has not been around for a few years. i actually bought my house from a fellow redskins fan. he and talked at length about how great it was to have gibbs back... walking in and seeing the memoribilia made it feel like home!

Out here in West (By God) Virginia I have noticed a quiet sense of optimism amongst fellow Redskin fans. However, I think several of us are gun shy after having shot off our mouths in years past only to have to slink back under our rocks in shame and humiliation after game 6 or 7. But to those of us who were around for St. Joseph Volume I you can see the faint glimmer of a knowing grin boardering on a smirk and a glint in the eye that says, "yes, once again, into the breech Dear Friend and let loose the Dogs of War, for our time has come and we will not be denied". :devil2:

forget cheese, the power of gibbs. i was in the store a few weeks back wearing my champ bailey jersey, and the guy in front of us talked to me about the skins. he showed me this necklace that he said he got from sonny jurgenson. even if he didnt, it was a nice necklace. a gold redskin logo. another time i was wearing my brad johnson jersey, and i talked skins with someone else. this never happened to me before gibbs came back. but now that he is here, there is an excitement in the air(or still lead in the water).

I moved to Georgia 15 years ago so not too many skins fans here .I will tell you this though a guy I work with wanted a copy of the "Hail To The Redskins" fight song and he used to be a Falcons fan. He hates Spurrier more than I do because he swears that Gibbs would have come to Atlanta if he had not quit and made Gibbs come back home.So I know of at least one new skins fan. :Peace:

Right after The Legend returned, I saw everybody wearing Skins stuff! It's kinda tapered off now...but then it is hot outside...mostly I just see hats right now.

hey ryan....you gotta update thay jersey collection buddy! j/k.....all i have is a bailey (that i dont wear anymore!) and a darrell green (throwback, lol) that i will forever wear proudly.
to answer the question, yes, i have noticed more skins fans crawling from under their rocks. its a good thing but it kind of irritates me at the same time. where were some of them when we were 5-11?

Exactly...on one hand you're kinda ticked the support wasn't there, on the other you're stoked that the spirit is coming back...and on the third hand (lols) honestly how much can you get on the fans...we went from an annual super bowl prospect to an embarrassment...even the best of us could of lost a little spirit....

After the reports started coming in last year about the players laughing and playing grab a$$ after being humiliated on the field by lesser opponents I began to wonder why I was subjecting myself to the ridicule by wearing my redskins shirts, hats, etc. Why should I continue to support these clowns when obiviously they didn't care. But I stuck in there, but there was I time when I had my doubts as I am sure everyone has in years past.

I always seem to get excited this time every year and have high hopes. In the past I never noticed the bad stuff that happened the year before and always thought the next year would be our year. Weird how you can blind yourself sometimes because you love a team so much. This year I have calmed my expectations down somewhat and I will be happy with 8-8 or 9-7. I figure its the same with most on this site that we never lose that spirit because we love the Redskins so much.

Tidewater/Hampton Roads is always pumped about the Skins.Anytime there's something "new" to cheer for ,everyone is all for it.The diehards don't need a reason, but yes, the bandwagon is growing!!!

I for one have been a fan of the redskins since i was 2(because of nintendo, i had no idea what was going on in real life =P ). At my highschool, a whole bunch of people have been wearing their redskins jerseys and once i was late to a class and the whole room (except for the teacher... i think he's foreign) was burgendy and gold, i thought i was going crazy or something :drunker: My friend in physics even got "gibbs is god" tattooed on his chest... i think he's a little bit insane but atleast i know he's a 'skins fan :)
