While this touchdown scene, with around 7 minutes left in the 4th quarter vs. Atlanta in the 1991 divisional playoff game, is best known for the seat cushions being thrown all over the field...I JUST noticed for the first time a very audible "WE WANT DALLAS" chant going on...

For those who don't recall...it was a fairly warm (50's) January day, but the weather conditions werew horrible. Windy and it rained all day and turned the field into a muddy mess. Deion got burned by the 'skins throughout the game and this touchdown was set up by a holding penalty against our beloved #21. Gerald Riggs scores on a short run from scrimmage and the fans responded in a frenzy throwing the give-away yellow seat cushions all over the field. It's a crazy RFK scene. The chant is relevant because later that day Dallas played the Lions and the Lions won in an upset else we might have had 1982 all over again!

Ironically you still cannot buy a seat cushion at the stadium to this day...

Definitely a great moment, Bandwagon. RFK had a life of its own - no protocol, no need to "generate" crowd noise. That's why there were so many memorable moments, including the seat cushion shower.

And yes, I remember the chant. Rest assured, if the Cowchips had beaten the Lions, they would have gotten the same thrashing.

I love the memories of the Chant, but it is the hope of a future chant that really gets me excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
