Don't ask me why, but I was having a discussion with a cowgirl fan here at work who tells me if going to the playoffs and winning the Super Bowl meant losing to the Skins twice, he'd rather beat the Skins.
I thought that to be highly idiotic. If winning the Super Bowl means we have to lose the cowgirls twice, give me the Super Bowl all day long. He told me I wasn't a true Skins fan because of it. lol So what's your choice, beating dalls twice or winning the Super Bowl?
superbowl baby...two wins in the regular season pale in comparison to raising the lombardi trophy

i hear the crap from boys fans enough about how many times they beat us in a row up until lately..might as well give us a superbowl trophy for it

Remember how those fans were so pumped that their only win in '91 was against us and spoiled our shot at a perfect record? I'm not surprised to hear one of them say it's more important to beat the skins. Of course, they've won some championships...wonder what he'd say if he was an Iggles fan?

Those were different years - 89 the Cowboys were 1-15, 91 the Skins were 11-0...but anyway, you have to take the Super Bowl...I'd take another 10 straight head-to-head losses to the Boys in the regular season for a Super Bowl trophy.

Winning the superbowl. Who the hell does dallas think they are? They think much too highly of themselves, and that fan is an absolute fool.

thats a kind of dumb question... it would be nice to beat dallas but if it meant welcoming home superbowl champions and having a parade in DC then screw dallas, i want a trophy

Well I am old school and hate to agree with of all things a cowboy fan but for the 1st time ever I agree with it.I have always said if we only win 2 games all season and both of those wins came against the cowboys then It would be a great season. Now I want championships but I want to beat those cowboys even more. :Peace:

GaredSkin, I am afraid you fumbled the ball on this one. I would be ecstatic if we go 10-6 (loosing twice each to the Cowboys, Eagles and Giants) and win the Lombardi trophy!

That is the difference between us and them. They are into moral victories. Thats why they get up to play us, so that they can say..."Well we didn't make the playoffs, but we beat the Redskins"
Our standard is excellence. If we don't win it all, it doesn't matter who we beat because we didn't beat the team we needed to.
If faced with that choice annually, I'd take the ring everytime, and Dallas can keep the moral victories.

it seems like every year we are able to say that we beat the eventual super bowl champs at some point during the regular season. but then we dont even get to the playoffs. how hollow is that feeling?

it was the worste when we had beaten the ravens and the giants earlier in the year and they were both at the superbowl :whoknows:

You are all right on this point but I hate those Damn cowboys so much.I want championships more than anything.I work with about 1/2 dozen front runner cowboy fans and I have had to endure some serious ribbing the last 5 years.I WANT MY REVENGE. and the rings too.:Peace:

Those are my thoughts exactly. I generally don't engage in football conversations with dallas fans, they are extremely delusional, but the convo switched quickly from the NBA to this.

Super Bowl any day of the week and twice on Sunday. Who cares or remembers that we were the last team to beat the Patriots last season? The only thing that really matters is getting a championship.
