I voted for McClinton, one of the best LBs this team has had.

Rypien, he led us to a Super Bowl.

Rypien, SB MVP, several good years at QB.

Went with the Super Bowl MVP. Wycheck and Humphries were good picks but did their damage elsewhere.

I voted for him because he was a superbowl and regular season MVP.Super Bowl 26 MVP, yes. I'm pretty sure, however, that Rypien was never a regular season MVP. Not for the league anyway.

I voted for Kelvin Bryant.

While true, I'll take a Super Bowl MVP any day of the week.

Your right ........... BUT Kelvin Bryant (which was a great draft gamble) was a 7th round pick (1983) I believe.

Went with TANK McClinton. 10 year career with the Skins and help us to our FIRST Superbowl (1972).

Rypien

I didn't like him very much, don't even know why...
By the way, he was efficient enough during the most important game of his life to be a SB MVP, which is far not too bad. He also contributed well his career long with good work ethics and good execution of his coaches' plans. Not enough to be a season league MVP, sure, but the best among redskins' 6th round picks, which is the poll.

Rypien, because that one year was magical. Goes to show you how any QB can be great when you have a line that doesn't even let opponents breathe on him. Choosing to forget the 16 fumble year.

No he didn't. He stood behind the Offensive Line that led us to a Super Bowl.

I am not sure that Bryant was a 6th round pick either. But, if he were, I would vote for him. He was very talented, the quintessential 3rd down back. The only reason we were able to draft him that low was because he was then playing for a rival league. Although injuries shortened his career, he was better than Brian Mitchell (my apologies to the many, many Mitchell fans in this forum).

If Bryant were not a 6th round choice, I would go with McClinton.

Just checked the guide, KB was a seventh rounder in 1983. Good gamble of the pick, but not as much of a "jewel in the rough". As the spirit of good late round draft picks should be.

K B get's my vote Pypen did QB us to a SB but i think anybody could have done that with that team. KB was tuff and did a lot for the team for a long time always liked him and always a big fan, having said that he did not runaway with my vote or many other people as well.

Correct. Remember only nine sacks. That's why my pick is Hog Ed Simmons. Like 11 solid years or something like that.

Hopefully we'll be talking about Jim Molinaro in about 10 or 15 years.

Im the lone Stan Humphries vote, but I really wish I would've clicked Kelvin Bryant or Ed Simmons. This was the toughest one for me thus far. As someone menitoned, Humphries and Wychek made their contributions elsewhere and Rypien to me wasn't all that good.

I went with Bryant but the more i think about it Simmons might be a better pick, Stan was great for San diego and i would say S.D. fans would be all over a vote like this.
