there are so many that i would like to pick for this one...
but i went with goveia b/c of the SB int that really sealed the deal. plus the guy was on almost every tackle despite not being the most physically gifted athlete. he just played his heart out!

Schlereth was a beast throughout his career... And I love his commentary on ESPN...

I count Kurt Gouveia as one of my favorite Skins of all-time, but I thought Schlereth was the better pick. An all-time tough guy and one of the best interior lineman during his time in the league.

Downtown Charlie Brown!

Now that's a pretty nice list. I went with Schlereth and his 10 surgeries.
Charlie Brown was good for 2-3 years and then fizzled. Schlereth had longevity.

If you want a truly great late round pick, it would have to be Chris Hanburger, one of my two favorite Redskins of all time. He was selected something like the 17th or 18th round, went to 9 pro bowls, and is arguably a hall of famer.

I think that poll is still on the way. This poll was for rounds 8-10.

It's amazing to see so much big names coming out of so low rounds. It's a fierce competition between redskins all-time greats. I personnally went to Barry Wilburn. He was an outstanding DB, with great vision and big hit power. and he came to his best during playoffs times.
I put Schlereth a nose behind him. Charlie Brown was a wonderful WR somehow overshadowed by the later greats (Monk, Clark, Sanders).
I also agree with HanburgerBum, Chris Hanburger owns a place in this poll.

i voted darryl grant. i like when he busted the bus window during the strike season when they brought in the scabs. those guys had to be scard to get off that bus. and we went on to win the superbowl that year. butz and grant anchored the middle like no one else we ever had.

What a great group to choose from, all are worthy of a vote.I'm going to have to pick Stinky. He had longevity and a couple of SuperBowl rings.

I would pick Jerry Smith, ninth round 1965. Or maybe Larry Brown eighth round in 1969. Or how about Len Hauss, ninth round in 1964? I have to tell you that I believe all three of these had greater impact to the Redskins than any on the list. (I'm assuming that late round means only 8-10 pick).
Don't get me wrong, I loved Schlerith, Brown, Grant et al.

Schlereth probably had the best NFL career, but Daryl Grant did the most for the Redskins, so I went with him. Plus, he's a not-so-lean mean rapping machine. Go, World! :)

YES. I abstain from voting until PSF puts a better list together. Jerry Smith and Larry Brown are better than all those who are listed IMO

i voted for grant, but larry brown was always my favorite when i was a kid. i loved that guy, he was awesome. he couldnt hear, had to have a special helmet with some kind of hearing aid installed in it, but lots of times he simply could not hear the plays or aynthing, but he was still awesome.
