The future of Johnny Dawkins, Krzyzewski's top assistant, also could take some twists. The Columbus (Ohio) Dispatch cited an unidentified source at Duke as saying Dawkins might have had contact with Ohio State officials.

But this tells me that coach K may be staying in Durham afterall....If coach K was leaving then why would Dawkins be looking at the Ohio State job?

Well, from what I heard, the job may not automatically go to Dawkins, despite him seemingly waiting in the wings for all these years. I read somewhere that they would possibly try to get Amaker away from Michigan.

yeah, I heard that too Kenny. And I've seen that some want, believe it or not, Wojo....

In my opinion, that would be a huge mistake. Along with Amaker and Dawkins, I've also heard that the coach at ND is being considered.

But in the end, many are expecting that Dawkins would be the automatic choice....lol Like nyjunc stated earlier. Its pretty funny to watch dookie fans sweat it out. It reminds me of sweating it out the first go around with Roy Williams. When he turned down UNC it felt like being kicked in the stomach. Its fun not being involved for once.

Wojo? Why would they want him over guys more experienced, including one that has head coached two big time college programs?

That was my first thought as well. But it has been reported on several dook MBs. Probably fans of UNC and other ACC teams just making things up. But a couple of dook fans think that he has the fire and passion to recruit like k. And that came straight from dook fans.
