Two questions.
1.) If/When NOVA or DC get the expos, what are you going to do? Stay true to the Braves or jump to the new local team?
2.) Do you think the Richmond area will keep the Braves as their farm team? Or will they switch to the Expos?
I can't see the Richmond area losing the Braves personally. The Braves have been in Richmond for as long as I can remember. [atleast since '93 I think.]
Thoughts?

That's much tougher for you guys who cheer for an NL team. Outside of a potential WS matchup I can cheer for both the new team and my Yanks. Of course, it would be all Yanks in the Series though. My loyalty to them, like my Yanks tattoo, is permanent.

I want a team here for the folks of DC, and I will go to games even when the Braves aren't in town because I love baseball and don't want this team to have the same fate as the Senators, but I will not adopt them as my own and stop calling the Braves my favorite. Having said that, if this team is put in N. Va., then I will only go out there when the Braves come to town. That drive for me isn't much closer then driving to Baltimore, which I simply don't do. I despise Angelos so much that despite my very few opportunities to see my boys live, I decided not to go to Camden Yards when the Barves were there a few weeks ago. I simply will not line his coffers while he pisses on the good folks of this area that deserve a franchise.
I can't see any reason why Richmond would switch it's affiliations. I haven't heard anything about that possibility, and I would be heartbroken if that occured. I grew up going to Parker Field (which has since been torn down) and watching guys like Jones, Klesko, Justice, Gant, Avery to name a few, make a name for themselves before they hit the big time.
Did you read that somewhere Mike that they may switch?

They can put a team here in Tarboro NC and I'll still be a Braves fan....just like I was a skins fan before and after the panthers came to NC. Just had to put my two cents worth in there Mike.

No matter where the put the Expos, NoVa, DC, Maryland, it doesn't matter. I will still be a Cardinal Fan!

Even if the Expos move to the DC area, I won't change. I'll still be true.
I will still think baseball is boring and not worth the time or effort required to be a fan of it.

I am like Kenny, if a team comes to DC, I will be happy for DC and will try to get there to see some games (Expos in the Phils division means more chances to see them) but I will always be a Phils fan no matter where anyone else plays

No Kenny. I was just wondering if they would. Like I said earlier. That would be a huge mistake if Richmond made the change.

Just drop the "U" from NC state Mike It's really not needed. I also have an opinion about the #9 ranked football team here in "our" home state, wanna hear it right? By the way are your "high heels" planning on fielding a team this year? Anyway who needs a U with their NC...... not me  ! Oh yeah and my Braves are only 1 game back, can't wait for the second half of the season.

The last I heard is that North Carolinians are know as Tar Heels. Not woofpack. lol
You should be really proud that your football team is ranked so high. Its about time UNC state has a decent team to pull for.
How about that sweep last year in BB?

Comments by Fay Vincent on the John Thompson show Monday pretty much indicated that the Washington/Metro are would NOT be getting the Expos franshise. ..... Washington is being played for the sucker as he put it.

Yep, I happen to catch that too Patrick. But in the end, who knows.
The MLB would be making a huge mistake if they put the Expos in Las Vegas. With the betting and all...

That sounds like a great move! And they could let Pete Rose be the Manager.
