Jeff Gordon used to be a Ford man too!Evernham is the common thread here.
It doesn't sound like $25,000 is too much to pay for breaking a contract,does it?

Really? As much as I am into Nascar I never knew that about Gordon.

I guess the $25k is about the principle of it all as far as Ford is concerned.

It wasn't the same with Gordon.Ford supported Gordon on his rise to Winston Cup,but he said screw loyalty[he wasn't loyal in his marriage either]and took another offer.

By the way,I forgot to add that it wouldn't bother me if J.Gordon hit the wall or blew an engine in every race.I don't want to see him get hurt,I just love to watch him whine!
