it's a sport.. ESPN had "Searching For Bobby Fischer" as the 25th best sports movie of the last 25 years on their show recently. the Spelling Bee and Poker are shown on ESPN and the man vs. machine Chess match between Gary Kasparov and X3D Fritz was also. and if Darts and Bowling are considered a sport then i consider Chess a far superior "sport" compared to all of them.

It's not a sport. At least darts and bowling require some physical motion other than lifting a figure and moving it.

Well bowling is a realy sport. There's no question about it. Whenever there is a ball involved it is a sport IMO.

it isnt a sport unless people consistantly make bets on it. Fencing, Sailing, Marlin Fishing, Mahjong, Running for President, Ice Hockey....all "activities"
