I like Madden personally. But I'm going to give ESPN a try. Heck, why pass up a $19.99 brand new game?

that carmike, is why you are the man. the only good thing about having ray lewis on the cover is the madden curse. :D

BTW, i picked up ESPN 2k5, i couldnt pass up the price either. it looks great (try first person mode, very cool) and all, but i still like madden much better. i just dont like the way ESPN plays. its not as smooth as madden. i will be using ESPN to hold me over until madden comes out.

well NCAA is great so it might be better THIS YEAR than madden's new edittion. if madden doesnt blow my socks off then ill prob play NCAA more. Y? Online NCAA is awesome. Theres so many teams and so many diff styles of play that one game is never the same as another.

NCAA Football 2005 is not against Madden....ESPN is.....John Madden whats NCAA to do good and trust me it is. Madden is always good but the past 2 years i have played NCAA much more because i believe it has been better.

on a sidenote, the manager at the gamestop i bought my game from, is a redskins fan! he has the store all decked out with redskins tailgate chairs, a redskins grill and other redskins items. the games that are provided to preview games are always set to either redskins/dallas or redskins/ravens. that was really nice to see. he and another co-worker even laid out a small football field out of tape on the store floor. the endzones read redskins and ravens respectively. on the other hand, the cashier was a cowturds fan. i revealed that i was a skins fan and he started a small,yet friendly fire argument. as i exited the store i told him good luck, and i said i didnt really mean it, i was just being nice......:D.

For visuals and bells and whistles, I admit that ESPN is very cool, but as far as actually PLAYING the game, Madden is easily better. Once Madden added the 'playmaker' functions, they have truly cemented their place as the best innovators in video football gaming. Plus, madden has much better plays...especially with regard to the Defensive formations.

those reasons suck, some of them dont even have anything to do with the game. i just got espn today, but i already pre-ordered(and paid for the whole thing) of madden on 7/17.
