Do you really think we could get Ogunleye? I mean relying on our linebackers to be the blitzes, dont you think we could be expose by TE on little short slant passes and such?

that's why we drafted Taylor.. when the LB's blitz, Taylor will be on the TE's and/or RB's coming out the backfield w/ the 3rd LB picking up the other. G. Williams likes to leave 3 LB's on the field for this reason.. watch for a lot of 3-3-5 sets on blitzing situations in which 2 of the LB's will blitz giving us 5 pash rushers and the other 6 to guard the recievers.

I'll believe it when I see it. In the meantime the Redskins should bring in Ogen and upgrade the D line to respectability.

We should draft or sign a player next year.

I would love to have Ogunleye here. I think he would be a great addition and give us a threat to sack the QB. We also have to make sure we can fit him in the cap. If possible I would pull the trigger if there was a way to not give up Samuels or our first rounder. That'll be tough to accomplish and I know that. We're put in a tough situation because we also gave up our second next year to get Cooley, which puts us in an even worse position. In the end, I think it will end up being impractical to get Ogunleye and we'll be hindering ourselves for the next few years.

if we did it, we'd be looking at the draft next year same as this year...not many picks, but who are our starters? portis, brunell, cooley, thrash, coles...all the guys we gave up picks for. so we'd have ogunleye (1st round) and cooley (2nd round) and then a third round pick, who would not cost much, but would probably be a good player with the coaches we have making the decisions on whom to pick. then a 4th round pick, the Thrash (5th), the 6 and 7. we'd have only 4 picks, but a starting hback, receiver, and one of the best defensive ends in the league.

Exactly ..... Need to focus on building our guys into a team. Don't need anymore revolving door stuff OR players looking over their shoulders wondering if they're involved in a trade. Let's go with the cards we have been delt.

thank you. people need to let this ogunleye fantasy die. start getting on board with the guys we have now and hope they excel as a team. sure, individually none of them are exciting, but as a team, they will succeed!

and hopefully we trade down to do it. i'd rather have multiple picks at this point.

ironic. after all the people blasting our d-line for months, now most dont want to give up much in the way of high picks for ogunleye, arguably one of the best DE's in the league the past 2 years, yet most say use the draft pick on an unproven DE.

Is he the one of the best D-lineman in the league? I'm not too sure. Don't forget who this guy plays opposite of and what kind of unit he plays for. His numbers are fantastic, but perhaps a little inflated, but I do admit that has yet to be seen. He could be just as good elsewhere; however, I don't think we know that for sure. Coaches and GM's around the league are wiser to this situation and have known about the Dolphin's problem with O-gun. Yet, nobody has bitten on a deal with them. That should tell you something of his "real" value. O-gun is a great player, don't get me wrong, but I do not feel he is worth Kearse-type value; and that is what the asking price is. So, no, I don't feel he is worth a package deal from us. Absolutely not.

I never blasted our DLine. We can't get every player at every position in one year. We've gotten a huge amount of players already, and we have to use our strengths. Wait until next year when some DLine players are available or draft one. I'd like to see what Samuels can do this year, then decide what to do with him in the offseason.

He's no Chris Jenkins, so your right - at this point in time (key factor there), I don't want to trade for him.

I have never been a fan of giving up futer draft picks. Because next off season we will be limited on options. Looks like we should have a decent year this season. But if by some chance we dont (witch I hope not!) We are out a 1st round pick. Witch is needed.

i will admit...even though i'm a fan of bringing in ogun...it is strange no one else made a deal for him before, in free agency, when he would have cost a 1st and 3rd, and miami would have had the right to match an offer. here's my theory: i think miami wanted someone else to do their negotiating for them, then they'd just match the offer. everyone knew it, so it didnt happen.

i think you'll see the deal get done now that williams left and freed up a little cap room... but that is just a guess. ogun's salary demands are bit ridiculous.

i dont blame him, it's the eagles fault for over-paying for kearse. we always get blamed for over-paying, but i think it wise we ducked out of that one...i'd be willing to bet we were in it till the end, and we helped drive up the price before getting out. if so, we hurt the eagles by making them over pay, which is great, but in the long run, we hurt ourselves too since the bar has been risen.
