I watched several cards games recently and it seems like they can do no wrong. Pujols, Rolen, and Edmonds are gold glovers in addition to being mvp candidates. The Pitching staff seems to have revived itself and are toughing out hard games until the offense can pull through. Can they be beaten?

Look at their lineup: they have Renteria, Pujols, Rolen and Edmonds hitting in order. Thats a devestating lineup.

They showed this kind of potential last year. Didn't think it would happen but they have been awesome.

The Cardinals are stacked on offense, with one of my favorites Albert Pujols leading the way. They have very good pitching and and offense that brings in runs. I see no reason why they can't win it all this year.

Blasphemer!

I have waited a long time for a thread like this!

I have cautious optimism. The team I didn't want in the playoffs is now leading the wildcard. The only good thing about that is that we wouldn't have to face the Cubs in the NLDS.

aww, but that would be the best part! how exciting would that series be?

That's a tall statement coming from a Mets Fan.

They just got better by adding Larry Walker.

I believe they have to be the favorite now if they were not before

Yanks are still the favorites especially w/ Brown pitching the way he has since returning from injury.

Don't deny it, you know you were rooting for Piazza when Clemens threw the bat at him!

Im taking book on how many starts before Brown breaks something. And another book on what he breaks. The only thing he hasn't broken yet is his eyelid.

Brown looks good. Moose should be back soon and will be well rested. El Duque has been a pleasant surprise. All the Yanks expect from Leiber and Loiaza is a .500 record and burn some innings to spare the pen. They'll win 100 easy and have home field advantage in the playoffs.

Nah, I was born blocks from the Stadium and my Family has roots not too far from the Stadium. I, as well as everyone else in my Family, have always been Yankee fans. I ws born at a bad time b/c I was too young to remember the '78 WS and I'd have to wait until '95 to even see the postseason. That's why I don't take these great times for granted, even though it's been a LONG time since we last won a WS :lol1: I still enjoy watching them win consistently and I do believe the drought will be over this year.
