Just a little bragging here, I apologize in advance.
I used to play golf pretty frequently. But last year I didn't play at all, and the year before I only played 2 or 3 times. This spring a new 9 hole course opened up very close to my house, and I decided that I would try and get out more (once would be more) this summer. So for most of the summer, I have been able to get out early (usually first off in the morning) at least once a week. Since I'm only playing 9 holes and there is nobody in front of me (and nobody with me either) I get around in about 90 minutes. Starting at 6-6:30 means I can go home shower and still get to work around 9-9:30.
I played this morning. The first two holes didn't start out that great - Bogey Bogey. But then I saved par after a lousy tee shot. Next up I sunk a long bending putt for a birdie. Then I birdied a short par 5 and made par (3) on the shortest hole on the course. So with 3 to go I was even. The 7th hole was another short 5, which I birdied to put myself under par. I then got pars on the last two holes to finish the 9 at One Under Par. I have never played 9 holes of golf under par before. (2 times I have played 9 at par.) So that was a pretty cool way to start the day.
(Next week I'll have to back up and not play from the Women's tees. Only kidding. I was playing the Middle tees (White). I will face a new challenge next time when I play the Blues.)
