Portis sounds ready to prove he is a bonafide super-star.

Finally they had some positives to say instead of the constant pounding the Skins take from the media year after year. In the end it was agreed that the Redskins will go 9-7 and fight for a wildcard spot. Emphasis was put on improvement from last year.

yeah i saw it, it was pretty sweet, I always like seeing the skins on SC, doesnt happen often enough though.
Is it just me or did SC cover the skins more when spurrier came here then this year with gibbs returning? maybe its just me but i seem to remember them being all over espn when spurrier came and not so much this year. thats messed up.

I actually think they are doing plenty of coverage on the skins considering all the other things that have been going on in the NFL.

I think ESPN is taking the same approach as the rest of the football world. A "wait and see" attitude regarding the return of Joe Gibbs. Not all that bad - I would hate to see them rave, only to have things turn out badly. This way, after Gibbs shows his stuff they will have plenty to say.

Portis made a block on a d-back during this segment that made tears come to my eyes. And when Bugel said that hearing the name Clinton Portis, "Makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up," I got chills.

Did y'all see Portis pop that DB in a blocking drill? Buges said the best thing about him is that he can block!

Yeah, Portis definately is not a system back. There's something about him.

Yeah, I saw it. They talked about the kind of back Portis is, and compared him with Riggins, Rogers, and specially Washington. Portis said he will prove he is not a system RB, he's unique. Jansen talked about how, during film sessions, there are a lot of plays that only Portis could have done.

I strongly disagree with Schlereth about our record. I just don't think we're playing 7 teams that can beat us. I honestly don't.
I love seeing Buges get all fired up. You can tell he's excited about the season and can't wait to bring the glory back to the Skins. I wouldn't be surprised to see him singing HAIL TO THE REDSKINS after each score this season!!
