Are you a skins fan....? IF so, you know the answer..but if you are a fan of another team being an imposter...than we will!...LOLOL

As much as I want to see the skins win every game they suit up for, I'd rather Gibbs and his staff come out of these pre-season games knowing exactly what will work, what doesn't, who will start and who won't...

It wasn't so long ago that Spurrier's Redskins whupped the 49ers 37-0 in a preseason game in Tokyo. And don't forget the Bandwagon side that won Gibbs' 3rd SB didn't exactly impress in pre-season either...

Good point GD....I just want to see my team on that field....I do know that we're not gonna show too much...maybe some 22's 21's 25's sweeps....some quick outs ...you know the stuff they've been working on in practice....and evaluating players...it'll be pretty exciting but don't look for anything wonderful..Gibbs will not show his hand to anyone...

it is important that the starters and those competing for spots play well. i'm also interested in seeing mitchel play b/c of barrow's knee... i really hope we don't lose barrow for any length of time.

i want to see portis play. I know he might only play a couple of short runs but i still pray that no injuries will accur.

We all hope for the best. I want to see the young guys step up and have a great pre-season, give Gibbs a nice headache.

The winner to this game tonight might not be the one who scores the most point but rather the one who gets away with the least amount of injuries. This extra preseason game concerns me!

You hit the nail on the head. Whoever comes out of the preseason with the least injuries is probably the winner.

I dont really care who wins. I just want to see progress in the running game, good blocking, some kind of defensive lien push, and no injuries.

i dont really care who wins, but if we do and look good doing it, thats even better. like patrick said, the team that leaves the game with the least amount of injuries is the real winner.

I think we win. Our depth at QB, WR, and RB should allow us to have a good offense on the field for a longer period of time.

The winner of a preseason game is determined not by the final score, but by which team got out with fewer bad injuries. Who remembers the preseason record of the Atlanta Falcons in 2003? Nobody. But we all know they lost Michael Vick in the preseason, don't we?

Here is what matters in preseason, according to level of importance:

01. Injuries;
02. Injuries;
03. Injuries;
04. Injuries;
05. Injuries;
06. Injuries;
07. Injuries;
08. Injuries;
09. Working on good plays;
10. Injuries.

I think we'll win just because we have more depth on our team. But the main thing I'm looking for is just some good plays. I don't get to see much training camp footage on the left coast, so I've not yet seen much Portis/Taylor/Cooley/etc. action. I just wanna see these guys in motion!!

I CAN'T WAIT!!

I want to see two things tonight which I saw none of the entire season last year:

1. Gibbs walking the sidelines, and

2. An O-line that uses NFL level protection plans.

Other than that, I don't care.

i like your style MM! i am so pumped to see gibbs though, that the skins could wear their alternate pink jerseys and i wouldn't care...

but that would be nasty.

Hey MM,
I agree with your point #2. I think it would be nice if our QBs didn't have to pick themselves up off the ground after every play.

According to ESPN Insider, the Skins are the favorites. I was surprised, Denver's D is going to be awesome this year.

But I don't want too get too excited. I need to remember Gibb's preseason records for his super bowl seasons, all losing (one year winless).

I just wanna watch a good game.

if we win all the pre-season games will other teams be talking about us or will it not matter

LATrueRedskin

It would be nice if the Skins won, but I'll be far more happy for the players to get some work in and get away uninjured.

I also remember that Gibbs teams often lost in the preseason. They rarely resembled the teams that played for him in the regular season. I think it is because he gets the starters a little work and then he likes to get the "potential" back ups on the field to let those guys earn their roster spots. I bet he has a gameplan and hopes for a decent showing from his team, and I bet this team doesnt want to let him down. I cant wait........are you ready for some football?

I think Gibbs may show a very vanilla offense, so I wouldn't expect too many big plays. It's fine for me if we have a winless preseason. That just lowers expectations, and makes it that much sweeter when we start killing everyone in the regular season.

Good luck skins fans...... Here's to an injury free game. Enjoy Portis, he's fun to watch because he can take it to the house on any play.....

welcome Evenrude. i hear ya. cheers to an injury free game. i'd rather have a win as icing on the cake, but the cake will be the injury free game.
