I bought my new Madden Game yesterday and last night I was starting my franchise with the Skins....Well I always skip the preseason games hoping I would beat some injuries...and Lo' and behold when we started the season against Tampa, I checked the Injury list....Brunell was out for four weeks....and Janson went down for 11 weeks with a broken leg.... I was like..WOW..too much like right huh for Janson. I immediatley got pissed put my joystick down and gathered myself. Luckily I didn't have enough space on my memory card to save the franchise so today I'll start it over.....It reminded me of that twilight zone music. :lol1:

EB Games at the Boulavard at The Cap Center near FED EX that's where I got mine......Store was crowded too but there was a new shipment coming in as I was leaving....Taylor is a beast. The game seems alot faster with a good pace. And the defenses aren't that dumb anymore. Portis will truck you in a minute. Lavernues is off the hook..The LB"S have so much speed. There is a create a fan mode on it where you can create your own fans...it's cool.

So far I really love the improved menus (there is a shot of Arrington getting pumped up), and for my money it is better that even a $20 ESPN which I traded in for $10. I haven't played enough to comment on graphics or playability... that might be on the agenda tonight.

I picked mine up at Wal-Mart yesterday! It has improved graphics and when you make or break a play it shows the hoggetts fan section where they are high fiving or saying no way if you stink up the joint! When you kick off the screen now rotates to the KR before the kick is caught instead of afterwards like it used to. Defense is much better than previous versions.

The gameplay is tremendously smoother and the options available on defense are tremendous. This will definitely come in handy when play other people. I simmed once to the offseason and it is easily one of the most enjoyable I have done. I spent two hours doing my draft/FA research and I think the RFAs are done well. The Gibbs playbook is also very good and I doubt I will create a new playbook, which is a first since they added that option.

the other thing i noticed is that the fast guys are not "insane off the charts" fast. i've heard the slow guys are no longer "zombie with no legs" slow any more as well.

i got mine yesterday too. i got it at gamestop(or whatever) across the street from lakeforest mall, there were only like 5 people outside waiting(i got there a few mins before they opened).

graphically and presentation, ESPN blows madden away. but gameplay and franchise, madden is the best.

WHen they say a game comes out on a Thursday, it generally comes out the Tuesday before...Tuesday is when most major retailers stock new dvds cds and video games.


As for the game, not being able to change control configuration sucks, and I can't play a lick of defense using circle as my sprint button.
