So much talent..........who knows what might have been had he been able to stay healthy the past couple of years.

His injuries have come out of effort. In this day of the prima-donna lazy athlete,Griffey has nothing to be ashamed of.

Griffey is my favorite baseball player. It's really a shame and a hurt to baseball that he's having injuries like this. I hope this is not what he's remembered for. He's a natural at baseball, and he's a great player.

Talk about injury prone.

I agree. He may need to go to the AL and become someone's DH to continue his career. Obviously centerfield is not the place for him to be much longer.

Left Field?

Left Field?

Actually, I don't think he needs to be in the outfield period. If he cannot adjust to playing first base for someone, he needs to DH IMO.

The man is a previous Gold Glove winner.I agree that the AL is the place for him.He can alternate between playing the field and DH.I think he has too much pride in his game to hang up the glove at this point.

I agree Kenny he needs to DH or first base, if he could stay healthy he would be chasin down Bonds in a few years. I still consider him, one of my favorites.

If Jack Clark was able to make the switch from the outfield to 1B, then I would think Jr. should be able to, especially with all that talent he has.

Speaking as a Reds fan, I'm ready to put Griffey to bed. Wily Mo Pena [no relation to Wile E. Coyote] is playing well in center field and hitting home runs like nobody's business. The Reds got him in a trade with the Yankees in exchange for Drew ["Who Plays Quarterback in Baseball?"] Henson. Just goes to show that being rich and being smart are not the same thing.
