oline - 9
dline - 8
QB's - 3
running backs - 4
hbacks - 2
Tight ends - 3
receivers - 5
linebackers - 6
corners - 6
safeties - 4
kicker - 1
punter - 1
longsnapper - 1
that's my guess for 53.
add 8 to the practice squad.
hbacks and TE's may be interchangeable.

i thought that same thing. i put 6 the extra db's only because of what i've read about williams wanted to use extras. they should be good special teams guys. if that's the case, i could see stashing on the practice squad 2 receivers and/or 2 corners...

Or if Spurrier is your coach...keep 7 WRs and say screw the Special Teams....

Does anybody know if Cooley is doing any work at long snapper. Seems like I remember reading somewhere that he was the LS in college. I know that could open a spot either at CB, WR, or perhaps an extra TE.

Yea, I know Gibbs probably would'nt feel comfortable with a rookie at this overlooked but crucial position. But it would be great if he could do it. Maybe next year he'll get a shot at it.

Spurrier probably thought he didn't need a punter or kicker with his offense.

as evidenced by the fact that he thought danny wuerfull could kick off.
