My sense is that he is being held out for precautionary reasons. If this were the regular season, he would probably be playing through it.

we'll still beat them. Does AJ Feely scare anyone?!? How about Travis Minor?!? Darrius Thompson?!? No. We will win, and it will not be close.

Again, I don't care about winning so much as I do seeing some good performances, especially out of Brunell & Ramsey. Of course, good performances usually lead to some W's, but we'll see.

LaVar is waaaaaay too important to risk, even if it's just for a splinter in his finger. He'll be pumping up the guys on the sidelines, so his presence will still be felt!!

Better sit LaVar for this game for precautionary reasons. It would suck if he got further injured during the game and have to miss time during the regular season. Smart move, no big deal. Remember, boys and girls, preseason games don't count.

Fox5 just reported that he has hurt his ACL. They seemed to give the impression that it's more then a sprained knee.

Yeah, I saw that too...this worries me. Hopefully its nothing big, but it is the ACL..

just heard that too and rushed over here to see if anyone else have further updates.. News4 sports earlier said he had an MCL injury and now Fox5 is saying it's an ACL.. i'd rather have it be the MCL than ACL.. as long as we don't hear the word "torn" b4 the ACL i will breathe a big sigh of relief.. let's hope he's only out for the preseason at most.

They better not be just "playing up" his injury to get viewers like the media does alot. That is dirty and not right especially when it's something serious like an ACL or MCL injury.

Lavar has a first degree sprain in his left knee. He will sit against Miami and hopefully they expect him to practice on Monday.

Lavar
Barrow
Baxter
C.Clemons
Russell
Betts
McCants (to be evaluated today - may still go)
Bauman

In reality I dont want alot of our guys playing as it is we have more preseaon games then other teams (except Denver) so we might as well take every precaution.

no reason to push it...i think McCants has done more than enough to prove his worth. i hope he doesnt go. i have not heard much about bauman. why am i not surprised to see Betts on that list.

What the heck is Betts' ailment this time? It's time to cut our loses with him. Let's get what we can for him while his value is stable. The guy is snake bitten. Let's get a 2nd(yeah right) or a 3rd round pick for him. Same thing with Cliff Russel. These guys are too fragile. I've really had it with them. :sfight:
