I think L.C will have a great season this year,I think he already is the best receiver in the league right now. He played in a bad offense last year which hurt his numbers. I think the only receiver that comes close to his ability is Marvin H. from Indy. Coles reminds me a lot of gary clark. T.O. couldn't compete against, Cole's speed, hands and on and off the field character!

u sure do like to start sometthing. coles is good, but i mean, lets have some sense here. harrison, holt, and moss are better recievers. im bias with some players too, but saying coles is #1 is kind of crazy. I think coles has top 5 quality but we need to see first if he is #1.

What do you mean not a chance! What does Torry Holt , Randy Moss , and Marvin have that Coles doesn't? I didn't even hear much about Holt until last year. As for Randy Moss the guys like 6'4 or something while coles is a mere 5'11 ! Marvin is getting old he is still good but Coles hands are just as good as his are. Coles may not be as recognized yet ,that will change this year.

What does Torry Holt, Marvin, and Randy Moss have? One, a superbowl ring, bunches of pro bowls, 143 catches, and more playoff experience. Coles isnt gonna be # 1, man. Coles is good, but to say that he is better than Harrison is crazy. 143 catches???? Last year he had a down year.... 94 cathes!!!!! Thats better than coles ever had. Hey I love Coles hes one of my favorites but come on now

he definitly showed some grits playing through his injury. but still, it is a little premature to think he is the best. harrison, moss, and holt are better.

Gary Clark benefitted from Monk drawing double coverages. Ricky Sanders torched everyone's 3rd DB. if Gardner was more like Monk, Coles could be more like Gary Clark. i think it is more likely that Gardner will benefit from Coles drawing double coverages. i dont think anyone is scared of Gardner's breakaway speed (or lack thereof).

I don't think Coles can reach his maximum with that bad toe. I love the guy too but I suspect that our greatest receiver under the new Gibbs regime isn't on the team yet.

its all about the situation.........If Coles played in Indy instead of Marvin he quite possibly could put up harrison #s..........but with the Gibbs O he won't get the touches as we have a primary ground game and to many options through the air............and that is why Coles won't be on my fantasy team....
gardner on the other hand could very well be my 3rd or 4th WR in the later rounds

Okay maybe I'm over reacting, I just like Coles he's my favorite player on the team. What should we call the WR trio we have? Remember the "Posse," if the O-line is called the dirtbags what should we call the WR's we have now. Another thing can't a guy have a dream? I just want Coles and everyone else to recapture some of the 80's glory years, is that to much to ask?

its ok to be optimistic but you said he would be better then mos and to,both future HOF's. I think we should call our reciever crew "tall"

Whose to say Coles can't be a hall of famer? Plus Gibbs said his offense for the regular season will be totally different than it was in 80's. So whose to say what Gibbs has planned for Coles. I just think people over look Coles to much.

Im not saying h couldnt be a hall of famer, but you cant put him over those 3-4 guys untill he proves something,im not saying he hasnt prove anything,i think he is better except TO,harrison,Holt, and moss.He has a chance at being better then anyone of those guys but at this point he hasn't reached quite there level yet

How can TO, Harrison and Holt be Hof and not Art Mork? Coles is way younger than T.O and Harrison he is on the upside of his game where as T.O and Harrison are getting older, Not to knock them but come on how many years do these guys have left? Under good Coaching whose to say Coles can't become the best receiver this year? Art caught 100 pass before I see no reason Coles can't either.

i think harrison will be a hall of famer the first year hes up for voting.I agree that there older but theres no way you can put him up there yet.He might have 100 catches for 1300 yards this year,i dont know. All i know is that moss owens and harrison have been putting up big numbers for years, and he'll have to do very well this year to be put up there with them.Harrison and owens might be a little bit older then coles but do you think that they both wont have 100+ catch and 1300+yard seasons?Coles is probablly my favorite redskin also but he still had a little bit to prove before he can be on there level.I think theres two levels of great wideouts in the league right now.one being moss, harrison, owens, and holt,The second level of top receivers includes hines ward, coles, chad johnson, and steve smith.

I agree to a point but , Coles is better than all of the younger WR's you have mentioned. Coles seems to be a real focused individual I guess he may have to prove his worth some but he's still looking like he has all the potential in the world to be the front runner of the new class of WR's.

Coles is a class act no doubt but in my eyes these WR's will have better numbers this year:
Randy Moss
Marvin Harrison
Torry Holt
Terrell Owens
Hines Ward
Chad Johnson
Derrick Mason
Coles is in the top 10 but due to factors like Gibbs system and the emphasis on this run over the pass and the pure lack of another breakaway wide reciever threat I believe 90 catches and 1200 yards is about the absolute best we'll get from him this year. That's not intended to be a knock on him at all, just remember that last year we had no running game and he was our best weapon and had 82 catches and 1204 yards which was good for 7th overall. He's good but not the best :Peace:

Look...Coles is a tremendous wide receiver, and I'll venture to say he has a better attitude towards the game than 99.9% of all NFL players.
However, he has a nagging toe injury that hasn't healed in almost a year. If he were 100% healthy, I'd say he was a top 5 caliber WR. But he isn't, so I think he is will finish top 10ish, if he can play all 16 games.
This offense will not be centered around the wide receiver. Its a fact. I believe Gibbs will spread the ball around plenty enough for Coles to get 1,200 yards again...HOWEVER, Gibbs is all about ball control. And that means running the ball early and often. He just simply won't get the opportunity to be a league leader at his position.
Moss is the #1a wide receiver in the league, and Harrison is #1b. Moss is still young (he is the same age as Coles, believe it or not) and will continue to dominate for years to come, in part, because he is the spotlight of Tice's offense. Harrison is also great, but I believe he is 31, which historically means his prime is past him.
I can appreciate he is your favorite player...but unfortunatly there are other WRs who are simply better on the playing field. Don't take it personally.

Yeah...Both Coles and Moss were born in 1977, but Moss is actually 10 months YOUNGER, believe it or not...
Moss has two extra years on Coles in the league, as Moss came out during the '98 draft and Coles during the '00 draft.
Just how good is Randy Moss? Over the past two years, Moss has had about 600 more receiving yards and 13 more TDs than Coles has had.

im saying top 15 AT LEAST. that doesnt mean 15th. that means anywhere between 1 and 15. and im talking statistically. i take LC's intangibles over anyone, anyday. i love LC but his toe scares me. plus the team will be more focused on running the ball and controlling the clock. that equals less passing. if coles catches 90 passes, that most likely means we will be a losing team because his numbers may indicate that we are behind in most of our games.

i wouldn't say that because 2 years ago, marvin harrison put up ridiculous numbers - he had like 143 catches or something like that and the colts were a playoff team. granted, they lost in like the first round but just because you have that many passes, it doesn't mean you're on a losing team. a lot of coaches use short passes as a means of controlling the clock and that's how harrison got his.
randy moss is, hands down, the best WR in the game today. he averaged 100 yards and 1 TD a game last year (which also help me win my fantast football league championship =P)! that's scary production especially considering the vikings had no real no. 2 receiver like we have in gardner.
Coles is definitely top 10, though, and will probably improve his numbers with all the play action that we'll be doing thanks to CP.

I can't expect Coles to be the best WR in the league, statistically talking, with the redskins. But if I imagine this guy healthy in place of R Moss or M Harrison with systems relying on him, I think He'd be able to put up approaching numbers.

Coles is one of my favorite Skins, but I too would say that he's not going to be the #1 receiver this year. I think you are overlooking a lot of quality WRs in the league ... sometimes you have to take off your B&G glasses and put things in perspective.

Coles could easily have 80-95 catches this year, because everyone will be focused on stopping the run that will free L.C. up some. Really back in Gibbs first stint The Posse was the best WR trio in football, Art,Garyand Ricky were able to do fairly well under Gibb's run oriented system. I think if Rod G. steps his game up I think it maybe possible for Coles to have a breakout year.

Yeah I like coles ability and I think there is a chance for him to be the top reciver... however I did see him miss a few easy catches last year, specifically the loss to the giants last year.
