That's a shame. It was not his fault that he thought he could go pro and now can't. The NCAA is a fraud and always will be.

generally i agree about the NCAA, but he knew this could happen and left anyways(he also took money from an agent). he knew the risks.

Got a link? It is a shame that Williams can't play anywhere. I thought they'd let him in at USC.

i think this is a shame too. everything williams did was him assuming that he would be in the draft. when they said he couldnt be in the draft, they shouldnt keep him out of college football too. im glad that he's staying in school though.

This is really sad. The NCAA should be ashamed of themselves.

The judge who issued the decision is a real idiot too (along w/the NCAA) for not either 1) grandfathering the law in so that these two (Clarrett and Williams) could be in the draft or 2) stipulating that the NCAA re-instate both of them.

so he has to sit out the whole year?Man this is wrong...this might afect his spot in the draft, how much money he makes and as a whole effect his carrer

Yep - that's a great message NCAA ... Kid trys to do the right thing by dropping his agent (don't know if the was an money exchange) and GOING BACK TO SCHOOL! ...Sure I know - everyone going to say "He still can attend school" but that's not the point and don't know IF he can afford it. I'm sorry, but until the NCAA takes a diffenent approach to college sports ...WELL IMO , they got their heads up their asses!!! (just ask John Thompson)

Williams paid every cent back. This is unbelievable. I can't understand how the NCAA figures this makes sense.

Indeed. And if I am not mistaken, he won't be able to enter the league next year either. Don't you have to be out of highschool 3 years prior to entry into the league. Wasn't he a true freshman last year at USC (the real USC, that is)?
