The Yanks lost 22-0! And they are only 3.5 games ahead of the BoSox. And they have six games left to play between them. This will be interesting. What do you think Steinbrenner will do if they lose the division to the Sox and miss the playoffs?

Damn who did they lose to? I think Steinbrenner would fire Torre and trade Jeter if they missed the playoffs. That would be absolutely amazing if they lost the division.

Ditto!!! When I saw 22-0 on Sports Center, I laughed so hard the dog came running to see if I was ok. I don't follow baseball at all any more, but I was very glad to see this. Go Sox! (Or anyone but the Yankees)

that is humiliating. you just should lose 22-0 in baseball. if you do, the manager should be fired immediately. but in torre's case, since he's done so much he's lucky. i think the funiest thing is how in late july, everybody wrote off boston saying that they couldnt win the division, but with 1 month left, they are now only 3½ games back. all they needed was a tampa-like streak and the yanks to do average, and something like that is happening. go sox!

I'm pulling for the Red Sox again, awaiting the inevitability of another broken heart. The Yanks are definitely on their heels right now and 22-0 is pretty darn embarrassing, but it still only counts one game in the standings.

I thought it was pretty mean of the Browns to go for two late in the game. Oh wait, that was a baseball game?
I think this is really just the gods of baseball making sure that the Red Sox faithful will have their hearts fully broken instead of the meager disappointment they'd have being 10 games out.

Yeah, my buddy is an Indians fan and he's grinning from ear to ear today. He keeps reminding me of the score all day. I hope the BoSoxs can make up those 3 games and push the Yanks out of first.

What is the payroll of that team that set their clubs alltime record for a lopsided defeat?
Did they pay $180 million plus for that? :lol1:

Come on Dave! 22-0? That's a football score. That's a butt whipping in Football? I don't know what to call it in baseball.

Yanks lose, BoSox win again. And Yanks lost Kevin Brown, broke two bones in his hand punching the clubhouse wall.

Yep, still one loss. A gimme at that. Too bad Mo blew a damn good performance by El Duque and Sturtze. It's okay. It's just the God's of baseball making sure the Sox fans hearts are broken in the best way imaginable. I guess this year will be either Brown or Bubba Crosby who beats them to keep the B's going. Babe, Bucky, Buckner, Boone.......any questions? (I have a shirt that says that).

lol, the best thing for the Sox might be to win the wild card. They match up and have owned the A's all year. The Yanks will have serious trouble with the Twins.

I would agree but they have a mental edge over the Twins in the postseason.

but the Twins have killed them this year, and they will be facing Johann Santana twice. Have you seen what people have been hitting off of him this year? Under .200 since the all-star break.
