PLEASE HELP! I just won two tickets for this Friday night's Skins vs. Falcons game and have been told that I need to buy parking passes in advance of the game if I want to enjoy any of the tailgating fun at FedEx. Given the time-crunch, that might not be possible, so I have some questions for anyone out there who's willing to offer some advice:

1) Are there tailgating groups that assemble in Northern VA and then caravan up to FedEx? If so, how might I contact these folks?

2) Are parking passes able to be bought on the night of the game at the stadium?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

I thought there were several cash lots ... check the Redskins website. Good luck!

The cash lots are far from the stadium...and most of them are in corporate office parks...HOWEVER, people still tailgate in them. Those tailgates pale in comparison to the ones on the Fed Ex Field lot, but it still exists...

wait, I bought my tickets for the game like a month ago, and i figured we could just pay for parking at the stadium. now I have to wait and park at some corporate office way away from FedEx? What gives?

There isn't enough parking at Fed Ex for the 91,500 attending every game. If you plan on paying for parking the day of the game, you will be detoured through the streets of Landover to one of several corporate office parks. From there, you will take a shuttle to Fed Ex Field and back...

I'll warn you...the ride back to the lot after the game sucks. You usually wait an hour in a "cattle-type PEN" to get on the shuttle...and then another 20 minutes to your lot.

Sorry but paying the $25.00 to park in an office park then mooing onto a bus before and after a game stinks!!!!
Try to beg, borrow or steal a parking pass...

Or, do it the Joe way, and simply go to eBay. I'd bank on there still being a few available.

If you can't get a stadium parking pass before the day of the game, you can get one right BEFORE the game.

All you have to do is, get off the beltway (I-95/495) at Central Ave (exit 15)and head towards the stadium. On the right side of Central Ave., you will see a McDonalds. There are scalpers there that sell tickets and PARKING PASSES before games.

Thanks to everyone for advice on this. I ended up getting an Orange parking pass for $25 from an online ticket sales company. Good price, bad price...at this point, who cares?! Redskins Tailgate City...here we come!!

You could have probably gotten one cheaper on ebay, but since the game is in two days, and it costs $25 to park much further away, $25 seems reasonable. Orange will put you right at the stadium I believe.

i might try the mcdonalds. is there any chance of being scalpers around the stadium area?

No...It is highly unlikely that scaplers will be selling Fed Ex's Orange or Green passes near the field itself.

44.28.hike~ Getting a pass for $25 is a steal. But dont' forget that during the regular season, those passes go for $35 and upwards to $50...
