This is why they brought him in - to play good, 'low-mistakes football, be a leader on the team, mentor Ramsey and win some football games.

Absolutely. The competition is over, period. Brunell starts, Brunell leads

Brunell will now get the bulk of reps in practices as he continues to develop a rapport with the Redskins' receivers.

This is where we will see expereince pay off. And that is not a knock on Ramsey. Experienced QB's have the advantage of setting the tone at a faster pace and with Brunell's willingness to now step up and lead, the Team should start to gel!

I'm glad Brunell actually knows what "Leadership is! Remember good old Jeff George saying "Leadership is overated"?

HA HA!

I'm excited to see the left hander this season. I hope Ramsey learns more about the game from a "true" quarterback veteran. I don't think Danny Woefull and Shane Mathews were the best role models for him during his rookie season. In fact, if anything, they taught him to underperform...

Remember good old Jeff George saying "Leadership is overated"?Now I do. It cost nearly $8000 in electroshock therapy for me to forget Jeff George and you've brought it all back in one moment. That was money well spent.

Brunell is the man we have so much talent on offense that he won't have to carry the team at all, just play smart, accurate football and you'll see us in the end zone a lot.

This is Brunell's chance to get that ring that he's come so close to getting a couple times. He needs to step up and really become the focus of this team. I'm expecting to see some elevated play against the Falcons tomorrow.

last 2 times out he was 7 of 9 and then 5 of 8. all short stuff with one beautiful bomb. if he combines those numbers and goes 12 of 17 with 2 beautiful bombs and hits thrash in the end zone on one of the short ones, plus portis a few times instead of simon, that's all it should take to win.
