Surprising events?

What surprised you from the first weekend of College football?

For me, it would have to be the Oregan State/LSU game. That kicker has to be kicking himself after missing 3 extra points. What an upset that would have been.

Secondly...about my beloved Tar Heels. Down by 10 points to a division I-AA school. I honestly thought our defense had turned the corner this year.

Even though we ended up winning the game, there's a lot of work to do. Especially for this weekends game with UVA....who is my dark horse to win the ACC title this year....

Any other thoughts on surprises?

William & Mary isn't any ordinary I-AA school though Mike. I understand what you are saying, but they are a team that has to be taken seriously when the big boys put them on their schedule. My Cavs have had their fair share of good games against them over the years.

The Oregon/LSU game was great. I see that Maryland had another close game with N. Illinois also. I wonder if Freidgen is telling Debbie Yow to never put them on his schedule again.

It's gotta be the LSU game. If it weren't for a terrible kicker, Oregon State would have upset the "mighty" LSU Tigers.

Kenny, I had no idea W&M were good for a division I-AA school. I never heard them being mentioned with the Del. States or the Georgia Southerns....

That makes me feel a little better. Up until we play your Cavs....lol
