Okay folks, alot of people will be at the game, so we're counting on those who will get the game televised to keep other hR members informed of what's going. As opposed to just discussing the game, try to keep members uptodate on what is happening. If you can, give them down and distance and the result of a play. Keep them up on the score. Describe good plays on both sides of the ball. It doesn't take alot of typing to do and we really appreciate it.
Let's try to keep this thread clean until game time. I just wanted to get it up early.

I know this thread is locked, so my apologies to the admins....:D
Just wanted to let you guys know that I'm out of here heading for DC. Can't wait to meet old friends again and looking forward to meeting new friends.
I pledge right here that I'll do my part to make Fed Ex the loudest, most exciting place to watch football in the NFL this year.
I'll have a beer or 12 for everyone who can't be lucky enough to attend Joe Gibbs first regular season game back on the sidelines. I wish you all could be there!
Here's to the Redskins having a successful game tomorrow and season!
Hail To The Redskins!

Here are the rest of the inactives for the Skins. McCants is the obvious surprise. Why spend that money to make him inactive? Jacobs must be a good practice player.
The Redskins' gameday inactives are as follows: defensive back Ryan Clark, fullback Rock Cartwright, Barrow, offensive lineman Mark Wilson, tight end Brian Kozlowski, wide receiver Darnerien McCants and defensive lineman Demetric Evans.

Go Redskins! I'll be downstairs watching the game, but if I can I'll try to add some updates (if necessary).
My wishlist for today's game:
Portis: 100+ rushing yards, 2 TDs
Brunell: 200+ passing yards, 2TDs, 0 INT
Coles: 100+ receiving yards, 1 TD
Gardner: 75 receiving yards, 1 TD
Arrington: 1 sack
Springs: 1 INT, returned for a TD
Taylor: 1 INT, 2-3 QB hurries and possibly 1 sack. He will also put Keyshawn Johnson on the sideline with a vicious middle-of-the-field hit sometime during the 2nd quarter. :sfight:
Redskins win 35-14
That's not too much to ask, is it? :Pickle:

We are about to go. Its amazing how relaxed I feel knowing that Coach Gibbs will be leading this team. I figured I would be more nervous than I am. After 12 years of worrying about how this team will come out and play every Sunday, it is a relief to know that they will, at the very least, come out and look like a pro football team.

Gardner should have made that first down catch. Portis still sharing a significant amout of time with Betts.
Galloway out of the game with strained groin.
Galloway out? that leaves them with Michael Clayton, Tim Brown, Charles Lee and Bill Schoder. Not much speed there.

The momentum of the game is starting to fade from Redskins to nuetral. Skins have to be careful here to be sure to maintain the initiative. Important series for the defense coming up.

That will definitely hurt their ability to stretch the field. It should favor Taylor who will be able to play a little more freely now without having to worry about the deep ball as much.
Great play by Smoot to break up the pass that would have been good for the first down.

Remember. Gibbs hired a former official to review plays and recommend challenges. There must have been too much doubt on both plays. Gardner's drop would not have been overturned. The spot at the 1 yard line had a chance to be overturned.

You could see that Gibbs was concerned with the passing game so far. He was having an urgent conversation on the sideline with the offensive coaches. The need to go back to the run and then get the ball to Coles across the middle.

Skins get the ball to start the second half. The Defense is winning this game, but the bucs D has to be getting very tired by now. I would expect a healthy dose of Portis and play action in the second half. If Tampa cant run the ball, this game will over rather quickly. Jansen in the owner's box.
