I agree. They say that Barrow is very good too so we have depth at that position.

Hail from Mexico

His interception was caused by a great rush by Haley. Yes, Haley!! Wow.

Pierce had a great game and may land the job permanently.

hes a good player and im really pulling for him but when barrow is healthy, i still say he goes in there..he didnt lead the nfc in tackles last season by accident

Maybe we will see more 3-4! Skins were everywhere on D!

He's been stepping it up lately. I see a lot in him.

At the very least Pierce's play should allow time for Barrow to really rest up. No need to rush him in there. And I'm sure Barrow and Pierce will split time when Barrow eventually comes back.

And by doing that, Barrow might be able to play longer than first expected.

Maybe we could trade away Barrow after the season... Just a thought.

I agree... Barrow will be the starting MLB, at least this season.

Yeah he will defenately be the starter. Pierce has played well, but they brought in Barrow for a reason.

do we switch to a 3-4 when barrow comes back???? Pierce has just been way too good to just bench for someone who has barley even played as a skin....just a thought....

that int was great, i was at the game watching that play unfold and saw where brad johnson was looking and I swear I saw the int in my mind before it actually happened. I think I blew out a vocal cord on that play.

Marty Schottenheimer had said that Pierce was one of the smartest football players he had ever seen, during Pierce's rookie season.

I think GW has said that during any given game that he will switch from a 4-3 to a 3-4 and vice versa. And I think he even said that he may have 5 backers on the field at once on occasion.

He actually looked smart when he was sitting on the sidelines after his big INT. Just had a look of focus and introspection and other stuff that goes into that look of smartitude n stuff.

He even mentioned he might throw down the 4-6 every now and then.

What a friggin hit Griffin gave B on that play. Best hit i have seen a Redskin dlineman give in years. Heck, I missed most of the interception because i was too busy checking to see if BJ got up from that one.

As many of us stated up in 437 section, Pierce should remain the starter. Take away the interception and he still played a good game.

Pierce has earn the starting position BOTTOMLINE. Barrow should be considered the backup at this point and yes IF things remain the same by the end of the season - Barrow is trade talk for me!

He appears to read to slow.Great arm but picking up players and reading defenses is still hard for him.I expect by game 4-6 he will know whats up.I hope for a blow out game for the Redskins and he gets to play the last quarter of the game.

Understand your point - only difference, Ramsey has been on the field in games as well as practiced. We have seen nothing of Barrow.

I beleive we'll see some 3-4 this year. I think GW has this on his mind.

i remember that too. williams has mentioned it also. it seems every time anyone talks about Pierce they talk about how smart he is. williams said he was making the right calls on the field before the coaches.

That would create a serious cap issue.

Good breakout game for peirce and I think this could be his big chance to become a starter. From what I've heard though he's so versitile at LB that he won't be starting any one posistion in the 4-3 D becuase he can substitute for and LB at anytime. So I think G. Williams wants to keep him to sub in all over the position so they never loose any serious amount of skill on the feild. Correct me if I'm wrong but I belive I read this on their website or espn or something like that.

Maybe Barrow plays as a back up until Pierce screws up I can't see tacking a mans position after he has 5 tackles and a game clinching INT.

Pierce is the MLB of the future and played very well.

Pierce and Barrow will likely both be on the field a lot of the time. Williams is so creative and flexible with his scheme, packages, etc. (example-only three CB's on the roster . . .sorry Jimoh, you're a special teamer), that I would expect him to concoct a way to use them both simultaneously.
