Any crimson tide (greatness) fans or columbia lions (hapless) fans out there? The tide's looking strong despite the ncaa and that crooked ass coward fulmer snowjobbing us. We should win around 8 games this year, maybe get to a bowlgame. Hopefully Texas A&M picks up the pieces and makes it to a bowl game as well--the tide mudholing francione's team would be even more gratifying than Gibbs kicking hell out of Parcells. And the lions, well we're working on a new losing streak. Too bad (on saturdays anyway) I'm in Harlem and not the 'loosa. Got a ticket to the Auburn game though. Bama bomaye! Bama bomaye!

I should also point out we have the hands down best qb in the sec. A little undersized, but croyle will put up some big numbers this year. LSU will still be tough, but with some luck we could edge em out for the west.
prospects of knockin off the dogs in the sec title game. . .99 problems but a bitch aint one. We overlords. Folks might want to watch out for our FB Castille too, lest they moufs get smashed

Jeah!! 8?!?! If they slack off at some point, maybe. I think 9's more realistic. Castille, Croyle, Hudson... Hudson son! We're just rope-a-dopin' foo's. Shula plays all lobotomized on the sideline while we tap that ass ambush style!
The NCAA can slurp this nut juice... corrupt turd gurgling limpdicks.

My observance of cronkeetness lies yet ahead. You'll know full well come Auburn, no doubt. We'll try to avoid the blade swingers, though.
Fulmer's parents shoulda been sterilized at puberty. The man's only redeeming qualities are that he pays taxes (maybe) and will die (not soon enough). I can only assume he plays catcher in his trysts with the NCAA.

I see there are 250,000 homes in alabama without power and that Ivan is plopped down smack dab dead center in the heart of dixie right now. Good luck everybody. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that the game won't be cancelled. . .and that everyone is safe.

Power is on... for the moment. Things here in T-town weren't too bad from what I can tell. Power and cable flicker every so often, but luckily always come back a few minutes later. Rain in abundance. Wind in spurts. That warrior of blackness gotta be ridin' high right about now. Thank the gods for the green boredom abatement and a taco in 4-hi.

4-hi? losing me. glad to hear you still have power. i heard someone sent a memo saying if there wasn't enough power to go around on gameday, the hospital would get first priority. it's a good thing they're getting folks prepared ahead of time. i mean you can't just spring some info like that on everyone at the last minute, fans'd go running through dch pulling plugs. hang in there. roll tide

i have confidence in guillon's ability to lead this offense. call me naive. Lagrone (assuming that the spelling of his last name is correct) and I agree that if Miami recruited him from California to play qb, then something must be there. also, he was second team behind Ken Dorsey while there but then a similar knee injury caused the coaches to drop him behind Brock Berlin and Derrick Crudup. The football gods have a weird way of making things right, so maybe this is the California kid's chance to shine and show that Miami coaches are nuckin' futs for handing the qb spot to a crappy Berlin and someone that is a little crappier. Roll Tide and Geaux Tigers!!!!!!!1

you're eternally optimistic tigerskin, i like it. we have to live and die by him now. our o is good bc of its versatility--we lose that if teams aren't afraid of thje passing game. look at the skins. and our running games can't carry us like auburn's carries them. have to keep throwing it. live or die, baby. now we find out what kind of sand these boys holdin. next week should tell us a lot.

anyone have any thoughts on mark guillon? pretty good numbers in relief this weekend but he might have well been playing the lions. obviously he's got good pedigree, but having never been the main son it's tough to say if he can handle the pressure, lead the team, do the intangibles. in my mind we're back to where we were when the season started--outside chance at a bwol game. if there's anything positive about it it's that he has a couple of teams we can beat, even with a back-up, coming up in ark and scar. you know what i always say. bomaye.

yeah I don't think the odds are in our favor, but we can beat them with solid qb play. the game's at b-d right? that should help some. I still just can't believe my teams' qb woes. the skins were a question mark at the position to begin with, so i was prepared, but croyle going down was unforeseen. woe.

we're in bad shape. it's like adam sandler said. . .kid can't even read. i'm sure he looks decent in practice, well maybe, but he constantly makes brett favre playoff against the eagles kind of throws. gibbs'll try to settle him down this week, and last time he was on monday night he was the player of the game, so anything's possible. this week means alot. 2-1, beating the cowboys on mnf makes everything seem gravyfied. but 1-2 (0-2 in div) losing a high profile game to our rivals, that's very last year. if we beat dallas it'll be bc of big plays. we need portis, coles, and the d to make something happen. may the force be with them dudes

i really must say this thread is far and away the most pleasant of any i've encountered to just scroll through. but down to business. columbia takes on princeton this weekend, trying not to fall to 0-3, vainly i suspect. tide takes on a solid defense and running game in the cocks at home in the 'loosa. the passing game is a huge question mark with croyle gone for the season--the only positive is that the tide will have to alter the avoid-passing-the-ball-at-all-costs strategy of last week, which despite a heroic defensive performance, cost us the game against the razorbacks. i suspect we'll do alot more playaction, putting up 24 points, while simeon castille breaks pops' hip, allowing the tide to load the box and squash the run. 24-17 TIDE!!!
