Nothing major, but it surprises me that we would release Kimrin from the PS before we were sure that Hall is 100%

i was surprised about the release of Kimrin too. i think he's good and could be our future at place kicker. the linebacker they signed is smallish in stature (well short anyway) so i'm assuming he's fast, built kind of like Dat Nguyen or Zack Thomas.

He is really small for a LB. Same weight as Iffy, but shorter. That's not very good for a linebacker. He better be good.

My assumption here is, since he was released, they are sure Hall is 100%

The new LB Brown is probably here to help on special teams because our kick covers oare not good at all. If he is short I don't care that just means the returner can't see him.

I agree Mark but with Hamstring injuries they are so easy to hurt again, I hope he is 100 percent and makes it through the game

Yeah, that's my feeling too. I'd rather be safe than go through the kicking debacle we had for a number of years.

I'm wondering if this new linebacker is here 'cause of Arrington's injury.

Future at kicker? We signed Hall for 5 years!

you're right, he's only 30, i thought he was older than that.

they would'nt release the kick w/o an update on Hall (remember we have Gibbs now and not SS) ... the LB addition is probably for depth while Hollywood is out.

oh well i hope Hall is fine. he is 0 for 2 outside of 39 yards.

and his kickoffs are the main reason we give up long returns... they drop at around the 15.

well redskins.com had an article a while back where arrington was saying he would do whatever he had to do help the team, even if it meant doing some kicking. he said he did that in college so maybe the skins figure if they get in a pinch in a game, they can always call on him to get them through, depending on how good he is.
all we would have to do is get through one game and we could sign another kicker the next week. it never seems hard to get a decent kicker when you need one.
