Stopping the run is a sure way to stay competitive in this league. Three games isn't much, but let's see how long we can keep this going. The games have been against some weak to average rushing teams, but I think our run D is pretty stout this year.

Dating from last year:
Philly

This year:
Tampa
NYG

Last 100 rusher was A-train busting us for about 150 in the second to last game last year.

Coming up we have:

Dallas: Eddie George, Rashard Lee
Cleveland: William Green, Lee Suggs
Baltimore: Jamal Lewis
Chicago: Thomas Jones, A-Train
Green Bay: Ahman Green
Detriot: Kevin Jones, Artose Pinner
Cinn: Rudi Johnson
Philly: Brian Westbrook, Donovan McNabb
Pitt: Duce Staley, Jerome Bettis
New York: Tiki Barber, Ron Dayne
Philly: Brian Westbrook, Donovan McNabb
San Fran: Kevan Barlow
Dallas: Eddie George, Rashard Lee (Julius Jones?)
Minn: Michael Bennett, Onterrio Smith

We have 3 in a row right now, how long do you think it'll last?

I say we get to 6 and then Thomas Jones, Ahman Green and Kevin Jones give us some problems and the D-line people will lose their minds.

I agree on those, but I would also add Jamal Lewis, Duce Staley and Jerome Bettis (only as a combo group). Kevin Jones may be a bit more heady by the time we play him (Detroit game). The ones in the division have peaks and valley games against you, depending on the intensity. The latter Philly game should be very challenging from the first.

Ahman Green might break it up with that o-line in front of him.

It will probably end with Jamal Lewis.

i hope no one is looking past Rashard Lee.

I think the first true test will be A. Green - they are moving the ball this year. Jamal is a good back, but they have no passing game to counter to run.

all i care about is getting the W... that said, it is RARE that you win after giving up 100 yard rusher... philly seemed to do it a lot last season.

I was very pleased last week that we held Tiki under a hundred. He normally runs wild against us. He had like 250 yards in 2 games last year against us. I think we'll be ok until Ahman Green.

Ahman Green is a beast. I like GB, they are my second favorite team (you've got to like one outside of the Redskins sometimes :)) but I hope we can make him fumble. I really hope we can.

I don't see Dallas' runningbacks to succeed against us, and I don't see the Browns battered OL succeeding either. But that doesn't mean we win those games. It could stop against Jamal Lewis, or it will DEFINATELY stop against Ahman Green.

last year we made "offensive player of the week" out of many running backs who never had a better day in their entire careers than the day the played against us. a 3 game streak is nothing but a "start". i am expecting that steak to continue. you can bet Williams will game plan against the jamal lewis and ahman greens, and the guys like that guy from dallas who wasnt even good enough to keep from getting cut this year, but somehow managed to pin 180 yards on us last year, or Tiki with his over 200 yards total offense last year, those guys will be stopped this year. i really think we are built to stop the run this year.
