View Full Version : Bring Your Rain Gear Monday!

Well, it appears Hurricane Lisa could make Monday night a wet one for us if the latest projections are accurate. Still early but anyone planning to go to the game may want to air out their ponchos and boots and keep one eye on the weather report. She will probably be too far south of DC to provide a soaking rain but who knows with 5 day forecasts of hurricanes.
Buges better start soaking those balls for Lennie and Raymer....

WHAT!!!! am i hearing this right!??? redskin fans not happy about getting to play dallass in a storm!??? this is WRONG on so many levels
1. its dallass on monday night... NOTHING takes the edge off that
2. dallass has no running game... HUGE advantage skins if the weather is bad
3. i LOVE bad weather football? doesn't everyone? i hate how sometimes the opening week is in the 90s.
4. gibbs is back!!! who cares about anything else... has the euphoria worn off for everyone all ready!??? think back to the last two... or ten season and tell me you aren't excited...

I agree! I would LOVE to see a slobber-knocking mudfest at FedEx Field. Don't relish the idea of being soaked all night, but if we beat Dallass, I'll sit through an acid rain storm.
Only problem is, it may keep some of the "fair weather" fans away, but they don't cheer anyway, so that could be a good thing.
Let the rain come and wash away the yuppie scum, leaving only the 60,000 DIEHARDS left to scream their guts out for 60 minutes.

I don't want a rain storm, because I want Ramsey to have the most favorable conditions possible. You can't throw the deep ball with much accuracy if the winds and rains are swirling all over the field. You have to admit that Ramsey is far from "accurate" to begin with, so he needs all the help he can get.

BTW - Current weather forcast calls for 30% showers during the day with potentially clearing skies at night. High of 77 during the day with temperatures dropping to the low 60s by gametime.
I could do without the rain, but I'd LOVE for some really good "FALL WEATHER"! Nothing is more pleasant than a nice crisp evening football game along side the roar of the crowd and the sound of a marching band in the background. GOTTA LOVE FOOTBALL IN THE FALL!

I'd love to see a sloppy, smashmouth game in the rain and mud, but I'd also like to have another 30,000-40,000 voices screaming out there. I'd hate for the weather to take away our advantage, and since so many of our fans are uppity about the weather, that may happen.
If so, you 50k faithful will just have to pick up the slack!!!

I don't mind being there in a little rain, as long as it's warmer than 35 degrees. Last years Cowboys game was hell...losing that badly and in that weather..But with Buges back bad weather was always an advantage for the hogs (dirt bags)

Well if it rains then that will put the pressure on the running game and take away the passing game from both teams. And since we can't pass, that's no big deal. But the deadcows have no running game so advantage...REDSKINS!!! :lol1:

Latest reports appear to keep Hurricane JEANE (sorry I used the wrong name in my first post) may not track north as quickly. But you never know with Hurricanes.
Personally, I would prefer no rain. That would be better for Ramsey and our slippery handed running back and receivers. Plus people will yell louder if it is a nice evening. Even if 30,000 stay home the remaining 60,000 would never be as loud as 90,000 strong yelling. I figure if 75,000 of us are screaming the yellow ring crowd will jump on the bandwagon.

I lovvvvvve sloppy fields and the Skins,
nocking cowgirls heads,
12th man at the fed,
And the Twins!
And I love you too!
Man what could be better than a snow storm, or torrential rain and mud slinging, and watching those "pretty" cowgirls worrying about how they look in the uni.

I hope it rains and the field gets good and mudy that would be great. Just think MNF at home the Fedex croud yelling "WE WANT DALLES" And a good old blue coller game. With Gibbs on the sideline what more can you ask for?

Truer words were never spoken.
With Ramsey's accuracy not coming around like it should, he is starting to look more and more like Heath Shuler every day.

i dont like the rain on this game. first, im afraid of portis fumbling even thou he said they were fluke fumbles. second, im scared ramsey will get sloppy and throw picks. 3rd, THE LAST TIME WE HAD A RAINY GAME AGAINST THE COWGIRLS WAS(GULP) THE LAST TIME WE PLAYED THEM AND THAT WAS ONE OF THE UGLIEST DAYS EVER...

Imagine Gardner in the rain.

Yeah I'm really worried about that. But There is no way that can happen again. And now we got all the fumbling, turnovers, bad throws, and drops out of our system from last week. So I think we will have a MUCH better game against the Boys this time around.
