I was looking on Ebay and they are selling a authentic Lavar arrington helmet for 319.99. It looks sweet and is exactly like his. Which brings me to my question. Why doesnt he wear the face shield anymore. He did a little in the pre-season and all last season. I thought he looked sweet with it. Just something to ask about. And which do you guys prefer.

Mask or No mask that is the question!

if i'm not mistaken he still does, but it's clear now as oppposed to tinted which has been made illegal for whatever reason.

Maybe he is worried about how well he plays instead of how well he looks.

I had heard that he wore the tinted faceshield because he thought it would be more intimidating to offensive players. He was criticized by guys like Deacon Jones who said the way to intimidate other players is by looking right in their eyes.

I always found this kinda silly considering their differences in persona. Deacon Jones has a look that can be intimidating...just look at his eyes. Lavar, on the other hand, has that happy-go-lucky look about him. I can't imagine being intimidated by looking into Lavar's eyes. It makes sense for him to wear the shield.

Play with it, play without it. I don't care, just play. It doesn't matter if he has a happy go lucky look, just ask Troy. Everyone in the league knows if he gets a clean shot, they will be in a world of hurt. Lavar is the MAN.

You wouldn't be intimidated if LA was about to blitz you and you can see it coming? I thought it looked sweet too. If you notice Taylor wears it off and on too. LA doesn't wear it at all anymore. Personally, it's not a big deal, but I think they're pretty cool and they protect the eyes too. It doesn't really matter though.

I personally think the black visor is more intimidating, it's so cool when he hits someone hard and it's as if he's a lifeless soul born to kill!

from what i understand they made tinted visors illegal because if a player got injured it would be hard for medical staff to see there eyes. i'm not sure if thats 100% true or not, since i see some guys still wear them.
